Baka? Kung sya man and this short sighted column by sayson is really just how media can be illogical.

Reporting about a player's health issue is a tough balancing act. It helps if the league he plays for is more fortright in handling such issues

points he didn't take into consideration:
    - di lahat ng medical conditions agad ma diagnose. some conditions take time and tests to be confirmed.
    - transparency and privacy are 2 different things. you can be transparent and still not divulge everything, lalo na kung may mga bagay na need ng consent ng ibang tao bago ilabas.
    - the common issue nowadays with media and the digital age, information is demanded and shared at a very fast rate na madalas wala nang validation kung totoo ba o hindi or kung dapat ba ilabas o hindi .

    • Homer is just defending his ass but of course the PBA shouldn't be pressured to release any info. It's on the individual player to release what he feels comfortable with. People treated LA Tenorio with the decency to come out with his diagnosis at his own pace, why not Pogoy if he is the said player.

Totally agree. The LA news was out of the blue. I think we should have let the player's heart condition be like that as well.

        • If I were smb I will trade lassiter and tons of cash for holt.

Keep in mind lassiter is 36 and holt is just 31 and in his prime.

For quite sometime SMBeer already lost their identity “Iba ang may pinagsamahan” when they traded their players such as Arwind and Cabagnot few years ago…

Someone said the rule has already been rescinded.

                    • I just can't with the PBA with its useless rule on no. 1 overall picks. They should just abolish the draft and re-allow direct hiring. Most of the recent no. 1 overall picks are direct hire material anyway given their age during the draft day.

Just like Euro leagues or B.League. No drafts, no salary cap no trades.

Yes. I know this is a knee-jerk reaction but at this point, the prevailing rules/policies of the league - the major ones that instill parity - are no longer working to its design. I'd rather see the big teams test themselves more in the EASL if the detrimental practices (farm teams, trading of no. 1 overall picks for "a bag of peanuts", etc.) are to persist, and also since PBA is currently active there.

                          • some farm team asked to trade for Nambatac and the return was hilarious. if ROS agrees, theres probably some deeper $#!t happening.

I think we can look at what other leagues do like i mention about Euro and Japan leagues. It just to big of difference on budget from SMC/MVP to Terra firma. Terrafirma can't pay the way SMC pays which players do deserve to be paid or they will leave for other leagues. So people will not have such an expectation on parity.
