I read somewhere that PBA heads were planning to invite NTs to play in the league as guest teams next year. Not sure if it would be before or after the FIBA WC.

Pocket tournaments maybe, like 2-3 games. Cant imagine NTs play more than 10 games + playoffs for the whole conference.

        • I think they can hire the FSA from UAAP NCAA and other leagues around the country with at least 3-5 years stay in the country. Sayang sina Sudan Daniel(RIP) , Ola, Karim Abdul and others FSA na halos dito na tumira.

I think the PBA should consider these FSAs as locals, just have them take the Fil-foreigner slots. Can help teams solve many of their bigman problems, whether starter or backup. Although personally, I think expansion should come first.

I'm personally against expansion right now, because of the nature of the season having an All-Filipino (which should be in the offseason anyways), but if we're adding imports as permanent players, expansion should be considered.

Well, height and length, and the speed to go with it, is important, especially in the forward positions, although they are not the only factor. Can help out on defense, and give imports like Brownlee a harder time scoring.

Although, Brownlee did bleed for his points against 6'4" Anthony Semerad, and I think 6'4" Cliff Hodge.
Hope this series leads to taller forwards who are just as mobile in the PBA, whether FIBA-eligible or not. This league (and Philippine basketball in general) could really use an infusion of 6'5"-6'6" SFs, and 6'6"-6'7" mobile switchable fours. Too few of those players, too many guards and undersized centers and classic fours.

                  • Here's a wishlist for the PBA to get stronger this coming year: https://www.onesports.ph/pba/article...er-better-2023

                    1. Have a balanced, competitive league with no team bad enough to lose 20-plus consecutive games
                    2. More young, dynamic, charismatic talents to ramp up interest and elevate that watchability index
                    3. New teams
                    4. Invite over another good foreign team or two if Bay Area don't return
                    5. NBA-caliber imports

                        • Zamar is good, better than Bulanadi but the PG spot is crowded for NP
