Air 21, Petron, Ginebra submit seven-player blockbuster deal to PBA

In the deal, the Express will receive Petron big men Noy Baclao and Rob Reyes and Ginebra wingmen KG Canaleta and John Wilson; Petron will receive center Magi Sison, guard Paolo Hubalde, and a 2014 second round pick from Air 21; and Ginebra will receive Elmer Espiritu and Air 21′s first round pick in 2013.

Air 21 is also working on a deal to secure the services of forward Leo Najorda from Barako Bull. The Express are expected to give up Eric Salamat in the trade, but because the two teams are part-owned by the same company, Barako Bull and Air 21 are prohibited from trading directly with each other.

at least they got rid of kg and john wilson...eased up the logjam at 2 somehow...double e can play 3/4 or even 5 sometimes and again it's up to the coach to use these players well.

True true. Espiritu can play the 4 too and more of a tweener 3-4 anyway so the logjam at the guards spot is indeed addressed a bit. And remember people, the target for SMC here is Slaughter/Banchero, surely Ginebra will make use of that Air 21 pick in 2013 (Best case - lottery 1 or 2; worst case - middle of the round if Air 21 improves play this year)

IMO there isn't really a logjam at the 2. Wilson isn't really playing so he's really for display.

Hard choice between Slaughter and Banchero for the next draft though. Assuming Air21 franchise/name get their 3rd number 1 pick in 4 years. Magwawala ako pag tweener nanaman kukunin!

They can have Espiritu as practice player then put him in SMB once the ABL starts. They already have Rico M., Ellis, Dylan at the 3 spot.
