All that said, I think it's time we adopted the European football transfer system and disclosed cash amounts in trades. In Europe, you straight up buy players for 8, and even 9 digits in euros. At least it gives teams more incentive to raise their prices, increasing their spending power (wages, transfers, etc.). At least we'll know the farm teams will get something out of it.

PBA should move away from 3 conference format , make it just 2 first All Filipino then the 2nd conference will be an Invitational tournament in which the top 6 of All Filipino conference will be joined by at least 1 team from Japan, South Korea. Taiwan, China and maybe from Middle East, then 2 imports or even 1 with unlimited height, then the bottom 6 from All Filipino cup will be joined by the finalists of DLeague which can be reinforced by an import and their FSA if school based while the pba teams will have either an asian import or non asian with a heigh limit of 6'6 then it will be division B maybe the farm teams will somehow not trade their marquee players for peanuts as they will have a reason to compete , like maybe winning a championship in the division b sa 2nd conference will not be as bad as being a cellar dweller in the current set up
