  • The last time PBA officials visited their foreign counterparts, SKor had issues fielding a 12 man squad for the windows which resulted to their disqualification. I wonder what gift the PBA will bring to Japan this time hehehe..(kidding of course)

It MVP has the majority shareholders, just like NBA teams with majority shareholders.

MVP is not the majority owner of MERALCO. MPIC and Beacon only owns a total of 45.46%. Regardless, MERALCO's affairs in the PBA are basically only those of MVP's.

They can't pull the plug of MVP's actions in the PBA. MERALCO can decide to pull the plug but the franchise still belongs to MPIC. They can change the name of the team to other companies owned or controlled by them (e.g. Cignal, PLDT).

If only JG could rally the remaining 54% to withdraw the franchise or control the franchise's actions, but looks like the rest of the shareholders couldn't care less about the basketball team

                To summarize:

Meralco, the electric company is owned by multiple share holders

Meralco, the basketball team is owned by MVP

harvest time, poor NLEX though. But I expect Troy to be back in the MVP camp in a few months

edit: MVP camp loves its 3way trades, and as usual BWe got the short end of the stick

                        • Troy Rosario will be an UFA in January. So he may be back for TNT by next year.

I thought he still has 2 more years left in his contract. Sabay ata sila ni Pogoy nagsign last year. I think after they won the championship last year there were rumors of them going to Japan but opted to sign with TNT for 3 years
