plausible, especially that w/o Yeng, NLEX is miles away from being competitive compared to Meralco and TNT. So might as well use NLEX for draft positioning and farming/development of young players.

    • Yeng is probably also noticing the negatives of being associated with MVP, not really the best image for a politician.

and the only billionaire/conglomerate interested in having a franchise (Mascarinas) is blackballed by the PBA and hated by SBP

        • Looks like Luigi Trillo is the front runner as the next NLEX head coach

Yeng throwing shade against the empires, lol

PBA has become some sort of Formula 1 where every driver, mechanic, team owner and fans know it just a 3 team race between Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes. and all others like Haas, Alpine, McLaren etc are just vying to be the mid-table best aka 4th place

The empires can actually afford to keep players in the PBA. At least SMC can. The market opening in Japan and Korea will hurt indy teams the most but thats just capitalism for you.

But imagine if you gonna pay monthly 12 guys in your team with JMF money or Mikey Williams'. That almost or over the budget of an entire middle sized municipality

“Actually, noon pa nga ayaw pumirma ni player ng extension sa team pero nahilot lang siya ng management kaya nag extend.”

“Papaano naman gugustuhin ni player lumaro sa team eh parang wala namang balak na manalo ‘yung coach nila?”

2 PBA bigs ‘cannot be reached’ ng kanilang coach

Though player implied in the rumor could be from BWB or Terrafirma but Northport has the drama issue with the coach

                      • Well with regards to Malonzo, now that he has been classified as FIBA eligible the smart thing to do is try his luck in other asian leagues for a bigger pay day.

If true, then i think that would be a bad idea for ROS now that CYG is back. I believe a guy like Santi would thrive in CYG's system. He's skilled enough both inside and perimeter-wise, kinda like an RDO-lite but shorter.

                            • I hope ROS take Ambohot if the trade push thru. He'll definitely develop better under CYG.
