I wasn't skeptical of Goorijan saying that SMB and TNT can compete with the best of other leagues (which is what was said in the video), but of the tweeter's statement that the PBA is top 4.

He said PBA could be top 4 league in the world and easily the PBA finalist are top 4 in NBL thats without an import.

Even if he watch only TNT and SMB, we know the caliber of Magnolia and Meralco. These teams did give the finalist hard time. And add Ginebra and PHX/NLEX to the mix that half of the league with high level talent according to his estimate.

It could change later but for an observer with a background like him that high praise. Maybe some are so used to this level of play thats why they think its immature.

Korea also has only one NBA, so thus Iran but Japan has 2. Is japan better than Iran. Or is India better than us? Most if not all Asian players are tall for thier position.
If you watch CBA their are very few players that are skillful. I compare their talent level to what Dickle said about NZBL and PBA talent level. Top 2 players are NZ and the next 50 players are PBA when ranking based on level of play. Again that Dickle statement not mine. Think he meant local players in NZBL.

The Indian and Japanese players weren't products of their pro leagues. They were drafted straight off the US NCAA. I don't even think they played in their local pro league. The PBA is one of the oldest professional league in the world and they haven't produced a single NBA player.

I'm not really sure what Dickle meant though it would be interesting to get his opinion now about Philippine basketball.
