On another note Chooks to Go Pilipinas FB page just put up a post thanking Aldin Ayo. It looks like Aldin Ayo is a free agent, and those rumors of him coming over to Converge are gaining some traction.

He says part of the problem lies in the PBA being too much of a veterans' league. Players leave because minutes are given to the veterans instead of them.

So sad to hear this.

I remember Dong Polistico as a durable defensive big guy who made life miserable for Purefoods frontline tandem of Jerry Codiñera & Alvin Patrimonio during the 90's. I used to root for SMB kasi at that time.

Ayo is now the coach of Converge. After telling his former team that he needed to be released to take care of his ailing mother that's dealing with cancer.

It's like this dude doesn't learn from his mistakes. He's already banned from UAAP and was denied from coaching in the NCAA and now this.

Pls tell me why he couldn't he just be honest and say there's a better opportunity that he wants to pursue.

Maybe he can coach. But there's a bunch of red flags that couldn't be ignored. Didn't he used to instruct his players to hurt their opponents? And his teams had been involved in bench clearing brawls. And who can forget the infamous eyeglasses gesture to the ref incident..
