I think to be fair professionals outside the country should be exempted from the rookie limit. I know nobody follows it and the max salary. It is just the principle that PBA is doing something to be more competitive to draftees. Currently, it is the Filfor ineligibles that they have to attract because the best of the eligibles will be picked by international leagues.

Mikey Williams is a legit talent with international level pedigree. I say, treat and pay him and others like him as if they were world imports, since they don't want 2 imports per team in a conference. But then again, parity would take another dive if this is implemented as they can only get the deals they want with the 2 empires.

I don't get all these players going AWOL. Aren't basketball teams and teammates supposed to be close and have camaraderie and sh*t? How can one of the guys suddenly disappear completely? Don't these PBA teammates go out drinking, womanizing, eating, etc.? You mean to say there is no single other player out there who got close to him and could serve as the middleman? Not even 1 of his drinking buddies? Do all these guys go their separate ways after games and training? I'm really curious.
