Herndon to SMB for future second round picks. The rich gets even richer

Another guy to put in Kots Leos bench. Herndon is a good scorer but bad defender. Unless he can find a guy who is as good a shooter and defender as Lassiter in his prime the guy will sit. Even a potentially MVP level guy like Perez sits because he is not as a good 3 pt shooter as Lassiter or good dribbler as Cabagnot or Ross. He doesnt even have a defensive specialist.

If it is, it just reinforces my decision to stop watching Gilas games as long as Chot and the current SBP are at the helm.

Nenads main goal is to develop the players and see who has national team potential on 2023 and beyond. At the same time he wants to compete. This is basically what Tab did previously. So Im cautiously optimistic with Nenad. I want to see them play a system that will be competitive with Korea and the other good teams. I want to see players play size appropriate positions and show semblance of defensive and offensive skills for the position. What I dont want to see is midget ball.

If i were SMB, I will trade CJ Perez for Wright... Wright is better fit for SMB while Perez can re-acquire his status as go to guy in Phoenix w/ his long time coach Topex... Sometimes too much greedy doesn't look good in the team and in the end it will be a disappointment...

Wright makes more sense in magnolia, as they need help to offset Paul lee when he goes cold.

Barroca, ahanmisi and escoto should be good enough to get wright

Malonzo is actually the player they need to replace Arwind. So far the Manuel experiment has not led to success. Lets see with a heallthier Junemar. But Manuel does introduce spacing and defensive issues.

No pressure from nenad as he is a drillmaster for us.. the issue is betwenn chot's clout with the program and if Tab Baldwin will be usurped permanently in the Gilas program
