I dont think there is a law who opposes it. Is there?

But that is the reality. SMC VS MVP again for the next years.

Converge is too young of a franchise.

    Others are just farm teams
    Phoenix and ROS lacks fireporwer
There will be little parity in the league. Inevitable 'yan, e.

One rule change I would suggest is instead of trades, just make selling players an option, like in European football (which by the way I've repeatedly suggested). At least there's a chance you receive the actual value of a player.

Although I think there could be limitations on the second import. Mine is that they have to have played in the PBA for at least two conferences (which also should give them a chance to be in the permanent roster).

Kinda reasonable. Allows for a 6'11" (211cm) big import and a 6'6" (198cm) wing import, which measure 409cm altogether. Teams could choose smaller or taller imports if they wish, though. It fills needs, especially two of the 3, 4, and 5 spots, which many PBA teams lack. It can make the big teams stronger, but it can also help even the playing field.

      • PBA set to have friendlies with a French team this September: https://tbti.me/s22f65

Well, that's after the Asian Games. Man, I wish this could have been part of the preseason, not midseason.

I think Marcial is proposing to have it before Asiad (which is rumored to be the one PBA is really preparing into, not Fiba Asia Cup)

To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
          1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Sorry, nagkamali ata ng basa, thanks. But if that's the case, I think they should be OK with little representation in the FIBA Asia Cup. Only TNT players and maybe Bolick and Go could represent the PBA na lang.

is it the mid 90s again? i understand that the Asiad is prestigious but shouldn't they also prioritize the FIBA Asia cup. I hope that we send all of our ineligibles in that tournament so we'll have a Overpowered squad.

I'm already a bit resigned to the fact that we might not see much PBA support for the FIBA Asia Cup. Chot should look for players OUTSIDE the PBA, apart from his TNT players.

Tangina, galing kasi ng pag-sked. 37 days before the Asia Cup.

likewise, luckily by that time foreign leagues would be on their off season so it will be easy to enlist the Japan and Taiwan Boys. Same with the local collegiate leagues, But knowing the PBA, they'll use this as a way to force these kids to enter the draft.

Im intrigue in the prospect of fielding Mikey, Pringle, Clarkson (if available) Cstan and any other non eligble player, we'll look like Nigeria during the Olympics. Hopefully China doesn't mess up the eligibility requirement

Yup but even the with the fiba eligibility requirement, really the prospect of being best in Asia is too good to pass up..

                        • Greg's post on FB:

"For everyone asking me about the rumors surrounding my status with the PBA, let me make things clear:
I expired at the end of January and talked to our team manager about extending. After our meeting he said he would get back to me.
I never heard back then my contract expired.
I cannot choose where I want to play in the PBA and I have volunteered my services to the National Team multiple times this year with no acceptance. My rights are held by Northport who has ceased communication with me about staying in the PBA. This is why I was not able to finish the conference with Northport.
It is similar to when I expired with Ginebra and was given no offer until weeks after I expired thus retaining my rights.
I am continuously learning, training, and getting better everyday, preparing for wherever I play next!"

We could have used him last window where we're so short on bigmen we had to rely on 40 year old 6'6 Kelly Williams to man the paint. But we all know why he's not invited. Just ask Bolick who was in the same situation as him but suddenly and mysteriously got invited after signing a fresh contract for Northport

he's stuck here since NP, PBA and SBP needs to sign the necessary paperwork for him to transfer to another country, similar to the BRP saga 2 yrs ago, atleast TNT finally gave way after months of hatred between parties. another similar scenario would be jeremy lin not getting clearance from his CBA team which prevented ho. from signing with the GS Warriors and their affiliate gleague team
