    (Does Blaclwater even have their own pick?)

    Blackwater and Terrafirma have no plans to compete in the pba. They are basically extra teams which are used in farming.
    Even with blatche around, blackwater will win a game or 2 or 3 but still get teh draft pick all fans want is for Balckwater to be a pba team not a mpbl team playing in pba. And as if there is a difference between the no. 1 pick and no. 2 next draft..
    To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
    1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

I assume Jakrawan's opportunity to score is limited as it is the world imports who are given the lion share of opportunities.

                    I do agree with the one-import limit in college. Creative coaches can experiment with twin tower lineups, with a 6'7"-6'8" guy playing the 4 (like Go-Kouame lineups in Ateneo and then Gilas). It forces our 6'8"-below bigs to learn how to play the 4, well that is, if they want to get more opportunities and not be a backup all the time. The 4 is also a bigman position; our bigs can still play like bigs as a PF.
                    However, to be fair to our PBA bigs, most of them can play the PF position. Of our FIBA-eligible bigs, only Greg, June Mar, Chua, Muyang, Almazan, Taha, and Gabayni have not played, and/or cannot play PF. To accommodate Greg and June Mar, and to an extent Japeth, their teams have recruited imports who play smaller positions, as the three are too invaluable to be replaced by the import.

                    • 2022 FRP
                      (No order yet)

                      Magnolia
                      Meralco ( owned by Rain or Shine)
                      Nlex
                      Ginebra
                      Alaska
                      Phoenix (owned by Alaska)
                      San Miguel (owned by Blackwater)
                      Talk And Text ( Owned By Blackwater)
                      Rain Or shine
                      Terrafirma
                      Northport
                      Blackwater

                      So

                      Blackwater = 3 FRP
                      Alaska = 2 FRP
                      Rain or Shine = 2 FRP

                      And it is expected that 2022 pba draft will be loaded with Gil Foreign Rules relaxed, plus a lot of quality collegiate players.

                      If only Blackwater is not a farm team, they could be competitive by now. But we all know these First Rounders are up for sale. Hays

                        true, a team of Erram, Belo, Parks and Maliksi could have done wonders, wait weren't they part of the Elite roster at the same time years ago?

                          Because they're not in there to compete. They're in the league to accumulate assets to sell..

                            I agree with most except for some time for Almazan, he did great in Asia Cup 2017 vs China. Hitting 3p, PNR, and of course rebounding. Even his Letran and ROS days he was hitting 3 pts and putting the ball down to drive. It is just in Meralco that he needs to be one inside presence because of him being the tallest and offensive rebounding is also his strength.

                              It's just that I haven't seen Almazan play the 4 in MERALCO. Or at least I don't remember seeing him play the 4, since he's almost always played the 5 out of necessity. It's more of him actually playing the position, not inability.

                              However, after viewing some film in his stint with RoS, I think you have a point. I just saw him guard the 4, while Beau guards the center. That's similar to the setup with TNT against SMB. Kelly guarded June Mar, while Erram guarded Arwind.

                              You're right, it's probably that he's just exclusively playing center out of necessity, and he can play the 4. MERALCO doesn't have the size.

                              • Almazans' Frame is not really for Low Post Playtyle imo. He have a Long and Thin frame.

                                He is really better as a versatile big who cuts, rolls, can occasionally hit outside shots, and Rebound/Rim Protect.
