i think the title will go to either riyadi or mahram!!! Hope that riyadi wins it!! we might see this match more than once this year in west asia championship final and maybe in asia club championship final :P:P
offcourse we have jalaa, champville and zain very strong teams also!!!
but i think that mahram and riyadi are better!!!!!!!!!

I wanted the Lebanese NT to participate instead of Lebanese clubs.

The participation won't benefit clubs who participate with extra foreigners and players because they won't be able to play the same system and rotation back in Lebanon.

I Expect that the Competition Will be between : Mahram And Jalaa ...

With all my Respect To Riyadi but without Ismael Ahmed & Fadi their Level Drop Down ........

Zain Lacks Chemistry as till now the Imports list is not complete + No League till now or any basketball activities in the Conutry since 6 months !!!!

Champville Would release their imports before Dubai , so the Same thing as Zain , No chemistry ....

Jalaa Imports C.Vs Impresses Honstly , Demetric Shaw would be one of the best imports in dubai in addition to Garnett Thompson and Zenden + The Local Squad is really Good ....

Mahram is the First Candidate to get the Title , Asia & Iran Champs have the best 3 Local players in Iran ( Mahdi Kamrany , Samad Nikkha & Hamed Islamieh ) in addition to the high level imports : Well known Jackson Vroman & the Big Slim Man Loren Woods

According to the Above I guess That Competition will be Between Mahram & Jalaa in the First place then comes Zain , Riyadi and champvillee

Waitiing For Samrt Gilas to make the Surprise but i don't think so as they have only one Import and their big Guy C.J. Giles left To Riyadi + They are still Young but with Great Future

this is not a rhetorical question. i'm really asking what to expect.
clubs competitions is not related to the NTs but related to the league level in general.
As an exemple many teams from Lebanon and Iran can compete on titles not only Riyadi and Mahram, for an exemple Sagesse got the 2nd place last year in the Arab Champions cup after Riyadi being first and the same goes with Mouttahed of Lebanon who won over Zain last year in Dubai tournament and were so close to beat Mahram,Saba and Jalaa!
          Proud to be Lebanese

maybe without ismail riaydi's level droped down a little bit and we saw that in the hariri tournament. But we can't consider this tournament as a reference since it started way before riyadi regained its power and chemistry. As for now, our level is great! with CJ giles, nate johnson and toni madison(expected to be the third import) we have a very gd lineup. Let us not forget matt freiji and the other local players such as ali mahmoud, omar el turc and jean abed el nour.

Its hard for me to predict the starting lineup since all of the players deserve to be in the starting 5.

Riyadi lost some of his stars but believe me with less stars the team's chemistry and spirit is stronger!
but we can't deny the fact that ismail ahmad was a true leader!
Lebanon mother land of the phoenicians! 7000 years of culture and history and still BEIRUT is "PARIS OF THE MIDDLE EAST"

              LONG LIVE THE CEDARS

                  Bullshit

Bullshit, that is the word i will use for teams who borrow players to play with them for a week or two in a given tournament instead of using their own team that started the season.

They gain a player, but hey loose chemistry, you start with a team at the beginning of the season, you should use it all season long.
Fiba asia should stop this like all other federations do.

Why do riyadi need the 40 year old madison!! I am starting to hate middle eastern basketball.. viva euro-league!!

Blame it on the people who organize these tournaments (Fiba has nothing to do with this actually), not on the teams that benefit from the rules.
3 Foreigners is bad, 3 Foreigners on court is even worse.

But if a team sees some benefit from adding a 40 yo player to the team then they will. No one is forcing them to take madison, they can take any player that agrees and that they see suitable.

I hate u u always wish that lebanese teams don't win any thing!!!
you always hope anyone to win but not lebanese !! why???
by saying that riyadi is not like before !! and basing your comment on the matches you saw in hariri tournament! where riyadi were playing with very weak foreigns !! plus with alot of changes ( 3 new lebanese players and without fadi and ismael for the first time since 5 years) --> no chemistry !! is wrong!~!
Riyadi with CJ Giles and Nate are a very different team and the chemistry is getting better and better!! you will see a team that is good as mahram!! and they will win this tournament!! jalaa have a good profile players but u didn't see what they can do on court yet to say they are good to win this tournament!!!
GOOOOOOOO RIYADI !!!! nshalla we will win!! hope champville play good games also!!!

the truth is that SMART GILAS were the underdogs in this entire tournament,.. so let us not expect too much from this team in this tournament,.. matching up with Al-Riyadi(LIB) is an inferiority match based on my senses.... but I do hope that win or lose,..is that they shall learn from this game...seeing them slammed by PBA teams with big margins,..I just really think that this was still a learning team,... I will not expect them to win games against big teams but i expect them to fight,.. I am happy to see them lose by not more than 10 points,...and the victory is only a bonus,... of course it was only against some premiere teams such as MAHRAM(IRI) and Al-Riyadi(LIB)......,
AKO ANG SIMULA!!! BABANGON ANG PILIPINAS!!!

what lebanon team with two imports did gilas beat last year in the asia champions cup? then again, we had giles back then. but now, we have this untested and injury prone sampson.

Gilas have beaten Al-Riyadi last year in Asia, Riyadi had Chris Charles (not a good Center actually and they got him just for the tournament) CJ is a lot better and he has proved that lately in their 2nd match up against Champville (Chris Charles is Champvilles Center in the Lebanese League and he will be playing also in Dubai) Yet Riyadi didn't have Matt Freji last year nor Jean Abdelnour in Asia and of course not Joe Vogel since in Asia for clubs he is considered as an import while he has been playing for the lebanese NT for a long long time now in Asia and both world cups that we participated in!!!!
But all the above mentioned info are not excuses after all Smart Gillas were playing better than Riyadi in the championship and had the upper hand in that game but I guess this year it's Riyadi who's gonna have the upper hand specially with Sampson out.

Many Lebanese teams have already contacted Tony Madison to join them in the league and it seems he ain't joining Riyadi no more for Dubai, hence Sean Colson (Antranik's player) would replace him (he is 35 years old)
