TEHRAN - President of Iran Basketball Federation Mahmoud Mashhoon was appointed as chief of the West Asian Basketball Association (WABA) on Tuesday.
At a ceremony held at the Olympic Hotel of Tehran, Mashhoon was elected to take charge of WABA for the next four years.
“I have been elected as the chief of WABA because of our basketball’s success in Asia. I will do my best to strengthen the basketball of West Asia,” Mashhoon said.
