        Hi mohensa!

Congratulations first for the Asian title that you fully deserved. I am really impressed by the progress Iran did in the last 3 years!

I have some questions about your superleague if you don't mind!

1- Is it a proffessional league? Do the players have only basketball for living or they train and work at the same time?
2- Do you have a salary cap? What is the budget of the top team? Are teams sponsored and financed by companies or individuals?
3- Is there any quota of players for each team to make sure the best players are fairly distributed among teams? (example: 2 NT players/team)
4- How many imports are allowed per team ? and how many on the court at the same time?
5- Who are the best imports who played in your league?
6- Doo you have a league for Junior players ( under 21 or under 18)?

        Thank you!

          thanks

1- yes, superleague is pro, but players in lower divisions may have another job.
          2-
          * no
          * 1~3 million $ but their budgets increase year by year.
          * 70% companies and 25% government organs (some of them temporary till they can find a sponsor) and 5% Individuals
3- yes, 3 NT players per each team, federation publish a national quota list every year, this list includes even some non-NT players. (this year this is a 21 men list)
4- 2 for the regular season and playoffs, 3 (2 on court, 1 on bench) for the top 4 teams (Semifnal + Final). this rule may change for the new season.
5- Mike Jones, Vincent Jones, Jackson Vroman, Priest Lauderdale, Waitari Marsh, Tony Madison, Art Long, Jabari Smith, Omar Sneed
6- we have an under 16 Nationwide League + many provincial leagues in different age groups.

Looks like Fars provice has three teams in division 1, not too bad
10-14 years ago there were only two good competitive teams in Shiraz. one was shahrdari(Abfa): with Mehran Hatami et al.,. The other team was Mersad Shiraz, Hassan Pallar used to be thier head coach. They were in second division most of the time (It used to be called first and second division. superleague wasn't established back then).
for only one year Mersad qualified for the first division and Shiraz had two teams in the first division.

Saina was a good team too back then, now they are in the second division

Does Ardabil have a basketball team, if not then do they have volleyball, futsal or handball teams? I ask this because the Rezazadeh Stadium is probably the best indoor facility in Iran:

                  No !

                  ---------------------------------------------

                  official news :
                  * Jaber Rouzbahani, Oshin Sahakian and Aren Davoudi renewed their contracts with Zob Ahan.
                  * Karam Ahmadian signed with Zob Ahan.
                  * Hamed Afagh and Iman Zandi signed with Mahram.
                  * Mahram will compete in a tournament in China on September.

                  interesting interview with Meyti !

Mahram is my first choice but ...
he might go to China because of $$$ !

                  * Mike Jones is the first choice of Zob Ahan. but he still didn't dign.

Rumor 1 : Akbari renewed his contract with Zob Ahan.
Rumor 2 : Akbari siged with SabaMehr.

                  ---------------------
unfortunately Tozin Electeric, Traktorsazi and AL sazi Arak withdrew from the SL !!! their managers must find another sponsor in less than 10 days ! otherwise federation will replace them with DIV 1 teams !

Basketball is very popular in Kordestan, I hope they can find another sponsor.

From what I have read Mohsen Karam Ahmadian has been a good player in the past few years (he's from Kermanshah if I'm correct).
looks like Zobahan wants the title really bad this time!
