    hi man, i was kidding
I like Serbian basketball (especially Serbia NT). i dont like them to be our NT coach.

i am talking about the coaches, not players.

I think foreign coaches are very good for the clubs , but NT head coach must be an Iranian !

I agree with yhat, but problem is because they brin low class serbian coaches,if they bring good serbian coach it will be very good for you NT.And if i must vote for iranian coach i vote for ShaiTab(soory if i wrote wrong) coach of Saba.

          yes, exactly
nobody can say no to world class coaches ! but i doubt we can hire a world class coach in Iran. so i believe Iranian top coaches are better than low level foreign coaches. and yes, Mehran ShahinTab is one the best of them. he won two last editions of Asian Club Champs with Saba Battery.

and i think foreign coaches are very good for the clubs because players can learn different styles. currently 4 serbian coaches (Vojnovic, Orlovic, Stevanovic and Krdzic) are working in Iran and most of them are successful .

anyway, according to federation members, the next coach is a west european coach ! from Spain or Italy !

I think that is worst solution than serbian coach. If they bring low class italian or spanish coach is not good for your NT.And i think that other problem is because federation want to choose team and put pressure on coaches to take some players.

yes, these rumors are always around ! but i dont know is it true or not !
Toroman dropped Pooya Tajik (former NT captain) from olympic squad and this action began these rumors again.

actually our next coach (if he is a foreigner) can't choose the team ! because he doesn't know iranian players !

                Mashhun:
We concentrate on qualifying for 2010 FIBA WC
TEHRAN, Jan. 21 (MNA) -- The president of Iran’s Basketball Federation (IBF) Mahmoud Mashhun said on Wednesday that they are going to qualify for the 2010 FIBA World Championship which takes place in Turkey.
“We want to be one of the three Asian teams participating in the World Championship. Iran will take part in the FIBA-Asia Men’s Basketball Championship which will be held in Tianjin, China, from August 6th to 16th. We will defend our Asain championship in the tournament,” Mashhun said.

When asked about choosing a coach for Iran, he said, “We have negotiated with Italian, German, French, Spanish and Russian coaches. We would rather wait for the best choice.”

Iran could have beaten Russia and Argentina in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, if had not lost Mehdi Kamrani due to injury and Aidin Nikkhah Bahrami who passed away, IBF’s president concluded.

                MH/MRK
                END
                MNA
a little hyperbole ! Russia maybe, but Argentina no !
but surely if we had our full squad (including Saman Veisi) we would have better results.

Irans' game vs. Egypt should be very close imo.

I understand ur position since both of u r in the same group and competing against each other
By the way Mohsen, is there a chance that Iran might withdraw from their game against the U.S. It would be really bad if they do so since it's not an everyday chance that u get to qualify and play in World Championships

why u think Iran may withdraw ?
Iranian teams have played many times with Americans and there is no problem. unlike what you think, playing against USA is not something special for Iranians.

the only time that Iran withdrew is Beijing 2008 Paralympics. at this tournament, Iran national Wheelchair Basketball team withdrew because they most played against zionists in next round, they refused to play against USA with a funny excuse ! what a stupid decision
