Sir, do you have the results of Qatar's tune-up matches vs. Tunisia & Lithuania? I think the Qataris had a game vs. those teams last July 13 & 15 and I think they also have a game today.

Finally found a quality picture of Hayes in a Qatar jersey. Last time I saw him play was with the Nets as a teammate of Yi Jianlian.
I'm not sure why Qatar opted to go for Hayes when they're already loaded with capable forwards. If they were serious in being contenders, Chauncey Leslie or Targuy Ngombo would have been a better choice as it gives them a player who can play the 1 position more effectively. I'm not saying Mansour El-Hadary is a bad player but I think he's the only player in the team who is a pure PG and his size makes him a liability on defense.
Could it be that they're hoping to have Hayes replace one of their big men who are mostly aging?
