    second game: Iran 99 - Jordan 54

but the important news is, Hamed Haddadi finally said he is ready to join the team , he says he still has problems. he still supports Arsalan Kazemi 100% but he talked to the coach and he tries to put the differences aside for 10 days because of the national team fans.

He lives in US these days and as far as I know he is clubless right now.

btw Haddadi left Tehran to his hometown Ahvaz. as of now he is not going to join the national team this window. there is still time though but he is still upset about few things. and not inviting his friend Kazemi didn't help at all.

again no Arsalan Kazemi and we have to wait and see if Haddadi and Samad join the camp or not. still no sign of "solving problems" but both of them are in Tehran right now. Samad apparently has no problem to join the team. but we don't know about Haddadi.
good to see Arman Zangeneh in the list again. he had serious injuries in past couple of years but he is playing better in the league. beside youngster Arabzadeh the only new player in the list is Iranian-American Mike Rostampour.

Iran will play two friendlies with Jordan in Tehran before the last window against Japan and Australia.

Btw i read the news on the Official Website of the Iranian Federation.
Unfortunately we are regretting it now but hopefully our guys can make it in the next window up and Qualify.
no if Japan beat Iran and lose to Qatar. and if Philippines win the next two games. all 3 teams will be tied on 7-5 record. and all 3 teams will be tied 2-2 on head to head record between them , then we will go to the points difference between 3 teams. not guaranteed yet

even if you check FIBA. they don't mark Iran as a qualified team

but the funny thing is that all media here and also our federation think we are already qualified. we will finish 4th in the group if for example such results happen

    Philippines beating Qatar and Kazakhstan
Japan beating Iran by more than 8pts
    Japan losing to Qatar

these are not completely impossible results. specially if we play relax thinking we are already qualified. and if Japan beat us. they have no reason to play serious against Qatar. they can lose that one.

and if Japan beat Iran by less than 8pts. Philippines won't be higher than 4th in the group no matter what.

btw I hope you don't regret those Zaid Abbas's FTs in the first round at the end of the qualifiers.

You guys were the better team. You had nerves of steel and made clutch baskets. Congrats.
