I'm looking for complete results to the 2004 Pan Arab Games basketball tournament. I'm interested in Lebanon's participation and how they faired. If anyone has any information or knows where I can find information, please advise. Thanks.

PS: I know it's a stretch, but if anyone has the results to Lebanon's 2004 men's NT campaign, please let me know.

Thanks...any results you can find will be much appreciated. I'm actually surprised at how difficult it is to find the results for this tournament. I understand in was seven years ago, but there should be some archive of it somewhere on the internet.

Hey guys.
As my memory serves me well, we didnt participate in the 2004 Pan Arab games, but we did only in Waba championship which was a qualifier for the Asian Stankovic cup and we finish fourth bcz we sent an incomplete team.
Our coach was a Russian called Ivan Idechko, and the best players were Ghaleb Reda and Brian Beshara!

Well I found the event website on web.archive.org but it is in arabic. Based on the url, I was able to find the basketball page, but it says it is not in the archive....I will try to find a way around it.

Yeah I believe this is what you are talking about...They don't even mention names of teams!
I even tried searching for info. related to this tournament in Arabic but all I could get were the medal counts for each country

The only way I believe that you can get any info. about the results of this torunament is by searching through newspaper archives (newspapers are in arabic though and probably no info. regarding this in English) that have online databases as the majority of the links for the Pan Arab Games (2004 Edition in Algeria) are no longer active and as evident there's not much info. on the web..

Al Nahar (Lebanese newspaper) has a great archive for their newspapers dating back to 1987 but they require you to register and pay a subscription fee....

Hi guys - did you eventually find these results?

I'm collecting results from all basketball tournaments (world/continental/regional/multi-sport events) from 2003-present as part of an expansion to my sports results website, and will eventually have a basketball ranking based on those results. I've done back to 2005 so far, and was just beginning on 2004 when I stumbled on this thread.

It seems there were men's and women's tournaments played.

The women's tournament consisted of 3 teams - Algeria, Tunisia and Lebanon.
