This was one of the refs that screwed Sagesse in yesterdays' game (I usually don't take pics of refs but in this case I had to. Do any of you guys know his name?)

But the funny thing is his fake seriousness and his revealed bias for Ettihad Alexandria.

I hope that I'm wrong but I feel there's a conspiracy against the Lebanese NT or clubs since the last Asian Championship, World Cup, and finally Dubai tournament (always wrong calls on the main players Like Vroman, or Imports, or top scorers).

Officiating joke of the semi-final match:

The Egyptian coach entered the court to complain on one whistle and there was no technical foul called , while Sagesse's coach and/or technical manager complained on two whistles (got two technical fouls but the funny thing is that the ref changed his mind on a certain wrong call but kept the technical foul) not to forget the double foul called on Daniel faris when he was caught by darren kelly (simply it should be a foul on Kelly) and the three wrong offensive fouls on Watkins and a foul on Thompson plus other questionable fouls on Sagesse players and the allowed travel for Egyptian players.

      Sagesse's mistakes:
      1) Not denying D. kelly in a good way.
      2) The missed free throws (esp Tawbeh and G. Thompson)
      3) The silly foul by Tawbeh on Kelly that lead for 3 free throw shots and oT
      4) 2 silly plays by Fadi abou al Mouna, (one play he wanted to be a hero
instead of giving a pass to G. Thompson on the fast break, he decided
to attack the basket when a taller player was defending him under the
basket and failed to score. The other play is in the game's last 5-6 secs
when Sagesse was 3 pt behind instead of giving a pass to another player
ready to shoot a 3 pt or instead of him shooting a 3pt shot he decided to
      play a 2pt shot a lay up .... My God .

The good thing is that Sagesse remained in the game's atmosphere and could have won the game despite of bad officiating and it seems that the chemistry is back in the team

      • Sagesse were the better team in this tournament, with no DOUBT!!

I'm not a Sagesse fan, but i actually enjoyed watching them during this tournament and i think that if they remain their level, the other leading teams in the Lebanese league should be very very careful!!!!!

I dont want to complain abt the biased officiating during the semi finals, bcz i honestly couldnt care less if they won it or no, what i care about is that Sagesse and Anibal benefited much more from what they may loose!

Hoops did also great, still i would like them to get more talented youngsters, bcz i think u cant build a good future base, using a bad one!!!
        Proud to be Lebanese

                • I have to say this tournament was fun to watch. All the teams had amazing supporters. The Syrian fans were admirable with their constant cheer be it losing or winning big. and so are the lebanese which I always try to sit next to because they have so much passion. I have to say I hope they always invite filipino teams every year so I can watch the games live and with the amazing fans.
