I can assure you that Smart Gilas will definitely be invited as the Pinoy fans here in the UAE gave a great atmosphere and i'm sure the organizers saw how both they and the Lebanese fans made this tournament a success last year (of course the Syrian fans also came in good numbers and to a lesser extent the Iranian and Jordanian fans as well).

riyadi won't participate in dubai tournement due to WABA Superleague. So I think that Champville,Mahram,Jalaa and ASU won't go to dubai also.

If these teams won't play this tournement is useless.
But in this case Sagesse can win this championship easily

yesterday riyadi president said that they won't go to dubai because they have WABA super league in the same time

hoops participating in this tournament is something really impressing. Dubai is even interested in our second level teams. It proves the level of our lebanese league. Gd luck for hoops it is a major step for this new comer. They are very professional.

hoops really impressed me last year in the league and WABA they were 3rd in the league after being promoted from div2 they had a team of youngsters with no stars playing with the team.

Smart Gilas in Dubai

Smart Gilas will be in Dubai for Dubai International Basketball Tournament 2011 slated from January 20 to 29, 2011.

It was confirmed by Mr. Naji Mohammadi of the New Generation Sports.

There are currently 10 teams namely:

Al Riyadi (Lebanon)
Al Hekma (Lebanon)
Smart Gilas (Philippines)
Al Wasl Club (UAE)
UAE National Team
Petroshimi (Iran)
Al Jazeera (Egypt)
two teams from Syria
and one team from Morroco

Riyadi won't play in dubai because according to WABA superleague rules it's forbidden to play in any other tournement in the same period of the tournement.
Most probably Mouttahed Tripoli from Lebanon will replace them
