  • 2010 1st WABA U16 Championship -IRAN

    4 team are participating in this tournament : Iran,Lebanon ,Jordan ,Iraq and
    no Syria!!! october 6 -9
    Top 3 of these teams will qualify for Fiba Asia U16 .



    I try to mirror the results here.

    it's hard to anticipate these games because they're just kids.

    6-Oct :

    Lebanon 84-59 Jordan


    Iran 76-80 Iraq


    7- Oct :

    Iraq 72-45 Jordan

    Iran 72 - 69 Lebanon

    9-Oct :

    Iraq 76-69 Lebanon

          Best of luck for our team! hopefully they will make us proud just like our under 18 nt in the last waba edition!

              So basically 3 of these 4 teams are going to qualify to the Asian U16 Championship
              I believe Yemen withdrew cause their players from the U18 are still too tired to play for this tournament

                this is the boxscore of a match between Japan and Yemen in 2004 FIBA Asia U18 Championship. Yemen's number 4 is Sadaq ! ok ? so you can find his full name here by using Ctrl+F, his full name is SABRI AHMED SADAQA

                but this boy is still Under 18 after 6 years

                    Hahahaaa thir proves a lot LOL many others do the same I remember when WABA this year was in Lebanon I was with Daniab when we he was talking to an Iraqi player he has 2 kids and is U18 Haha 2 kids and playing U18 basketball really?

                      Maybe in Yemen they age really slowly so for each 5 years you grow up they only grow up 1 year

                      Cool find by the way. So this is 100% proof that that is Sadaq was at least 22 years of age (let's say he was quite young and was 16 back then ) when he played in this U18 Championship.
