With all the respect to China and even tho I rate them as small favorites, I hope Philippines will take the title and ticket to Rio home. Go, Gilas!!! rsz_flag-pins-lithuania-philippines.jpg

Why? We will have a hard time with China's length and speed, plus they have home court.

Do you really think we can outrun them and stop them from hitting their shots?

The two most successful nations in history of asian basketball square off against each other in the final, the dream final.
20 Asian titles between them out of 27 ( 15 China, 5 Philippines)

            Go Philippines!

Gilas is the underdog here but I believe the players will give it their best shot.

I obviously want Gilas to win. But Good luck to both teams.

I'm guessing I won't be able get tickets for this games. Chinese fans will have access to the tickets.

Well, Coach Tab has to say something about that:

As much as I prefer the Philippines as a country, culture and people - I tend to cheer for the teams that do not need to make such liberal use of imports, naturalization, grandchildren etc. China is the more "pure" national team, and I respect them for that - Andre Blatche makes a mockery of Filipino basketball from my perspective. It shouldn't be needed, especially from a country with a strong basketball tradition. It is within the rules, but it just diminishes the reputation of the country's basketball.

And this is coming from someone whose national team is not composed of Inuit.

It will be so fun watching Zhou Qi challenge his team mate Andray. Although It will be a very physical game, I don't what to seen any of the players to get injured. Wish them a great new season.
