No idea. But I don't want Japan to face China in the QF. Japan is my second team here (not half-Japanese or anything. Just rooting for them). I want Japan to reach the semis (against Gilas where Gilas will hopefully stomp them ), and I feel like Japan will not be able to do that if their QF opponent is China. I think Japan will have better chance against Korea, Qatar, Jordan or Lebanon. It's not about talent actually but I think more on the mentality of the Japanese players that they cannot beat China. That's how I see things. So I am hoping that China will not tank its game against Qatar so I can see the "possibility" of Japan being in the semis (and OQT).

True, when a solid team like Chinese Taipei can only place 13 or 14 out of 16 teams, you know its damm competitive (Although the groupings had a part in it). You also have underdog teams like Qatar beating Korea, Palestine beating Philippines etc makes it all the more interesting.

I know this is very unlikely to happen but a 5-way tie is a possibility in Group E IF

        India beats PHI,
        Japan beats HKG,
        Palestine beats IRI,

With the exception of Hong Kong, all 5 teams will carry a 3-2 W-L record IF that happens.
