    Group E
    1 - Philippines
    2 - Iran
    3 - Japan
    4 - India

    Group F
    1 - China
    2 - Korea
    3 - Lebanon
    4 - Qatar

As much as I hate to see Lebanon face Iran in the quarters, I still prefer us to face Qatar in the quarters.

    Thoughts?

      1. Philippines 4-1
      2. Iran 4-1
      3. Japan 3-2
      4. India 2-3
      5. Palestine 2-3
      6. HongKong 0-5

      1. China 5-0
      2. Korea 4-1
      3. Jordan 2-3
      4. Lebanon 2-3
      5. Qatar 2-3
      6. Kazkakhstan 0-5

      Philippines - Lebanon

      Korea - Japan

      China - India

      Iran - Jordan

I wouldn't want Philippines-Lebanon in 1/4, since I really like both as bball nations, but if everything will finish the way I'm expecting, it's most likely scenario

Add the possibility that China might tank against you today to avoid Iran in the semis.

              Happy tanking, China.

You should really win vs China though. Make them pay for trying to tank this game.

I'm not worried too much about who Gilas will face in the knockout stages. The competition, at this point in time, is almost equal. There are a few teams a bit ahead and some teams a bit behind, but everyone is capable of beating anyone. This might be the most competitively close Asian championship we've had in years.

FIBA Asia is slowly becoming more and more competitive like EuroBasket. Even the lower-tier teams can beat the higher-tier teams.

And also, 2015 is the year of the underdog. Just ask Venezuela.

The thing is, even China will not tank tonight, China can still tank tomorrow and achieve the same result.

Does that mean Qatar will try to tank as well? Here's to hoping Japan will pay them back in the quarters for trying to tank games. But really, Takeuchi alone isn't enough against the four 7-footers of China.

No one tanks , no one. Everyone will play its best, and beat whatever comes in front of them.
facing philippines isn't easier then iran.

Unlike in Group E where the seedings are "almost" determined, in Group F, anything is still possible. For instance, Korea as the no. 2 seed in Group F is still possible even after losing to Qatar tonight.

A Jordan win tonight over Kazakhstan, and win tomorrow over Lebanon (sorry, just stating possibilities) will give them a 3-2 record.

A Korea win tomorrow over Kazakhstan will also give them a 3-2 record.

A China win over Qatar tomorrow will give Qatar a 3-2 record.

That's 3 teams tied at 3-2 with one winning over the other. However, thanks to a 27 point blow-out by Korea over Jordan, and an 11-point win by Jordan over Qatar, Korea will most likely end up aw no. 2, Jordan no. 3, and Qatar no. 4. But that's just one scenario. Anything is still possible.
