    They used to do that in the late 1990s and early 2000s... they got the FIBA All-Stars visiting top basketball countries to play the league all-stars of those countries (e.g. 1997 Korean All-Star Extravaganza, 2000 Philippines All-Star Extravaganza)... Young Fadi El Khatib (Lebanon) and Romel Adducul (PHL) were part of those all-star team...

    I don't know why they stop it though... probably generated less money in some countries...

    I would have preferred Quincy Davis and Nikkhah Bahrami over Sahakian (or as the commentators said, Sakakian) and Lin Chih-Chieh. Quincy Davis made Chinese Taipei what it was, in addition to his pretty monster stats, including shooting an absurd 70+%. Or Kamrani, Kim, Douthit, Davis, Haddadi.

    bharami should have been named as best SF. Lin played very well in d preliminaries and played exceptionally vs phi in first round and vs china in qf but he was a major no-show in semis and battle for 3rd. but i guess, him leading his team in crippling d great wall of china clinched it for him.
