      then good for you..why you downgrade your prediction? i thought you said in your other post that you will win all the way..now your downgrading it? as i have said, we are predicting here on our present team..we are not looking back the past. your fellow lebanese poster seems to be always on defensive if someone put your team behind philippines, japan, or qatar..its only a prediction man..it could be wrong or could be right..you never know the future..but you guys seems to be all knowing that you get offended on the opinion of others..that's why i am always laughing my heart out responding to your posts coz i never take them seriously..unlike you..too serious on predictions as if it is already happening..wait for the real thing and then we get serious..chill out..whew..

        I would be very satisfied if the Philippines makes it to the semis.
        If we win d bronze, I will be very happy. If we finish w/ a silver, I would be ecstatic.

        If by a stroke of luck, we win d title, then I would be extremely ecstatic!!!
        If ever we won't make it to d semis, I would be a bit sad but not totally frustrated.

        that for me would be a more realistic expectation. Lets face it, d competition would be tough out there. Many say this edition of Asian Championship would be d most competitive in years & I agree. I think almost any team can beat anybody on any given game.

        some who post here in this thread would claim 2 have a "realistic" expectation.

        pardon me but their expectations sounded more like a fantasy than a reality. Well, thats their opinion.

        Let's see who ends up w/ some heartaches after the smoke of Wuhan clears.

          U hit d bull's eye man! Notice how "some" Lebanese fans express their opinions. Most of their opinions are biased, and they are all praises & saying good comments about their beloved NT. I can't help but laugh at "some" of them whenever they comment about their Nat'l. team's performance in tune up games, which they treat very very seriously as if its an actual FIBA tournament. then if their beloved NT looses, they would fool themselves into saying their NT players didn't play seriously, or d players were overconfident thats why d oponent was able 2 steal d game from them. I can't help but laugh at how obsessed fanatics they have become.

          Try 2 say anything negative about their beloved NT & they will curse!

            And don't you notice that most of ur posts are dedicated to reply to the Lebanese? just ignore them if you see them illogical and funny, and then laugh at them as much as u want in the coming Fiba Asia if u do really believe they won't do well

              Best of LUCK to Phils. and Lebanon in Fiba-Asia...hope they both play in the semis or much better in the finals!

                yup, you're rayt! but I think there's nothing wrong w/ commenting at someone's opinion or comment w/c I may found very biased, prejudiced or even ridiculous. try 2 read back all my posts at Lebanese NT 2011 or Philippines NT 2011, and U will not find any biased or prejudiced comment on them. As a Filipino, I'm rooting 4 Smart Gilas team Pilipinas & I really have been suporting d team since day 1 of it's inception. Yet, I never reacted harshly nor did I get offended hearing someone criticizing d team or if somebody says something negative about d team becoz I know that our team is far from being flawless. In fact at some instance, I myself had criticize d team- some of d players, d manager, d SBP and it's sponsor, 4 some moves or policies w/c I found improper or counter-productive. Thats wat we can call constructive criticism. I think we need 2 be open minded on all matters. Sometimes, we need 2 listen 2 detractors or people saying negative things about our team 2 broaden our understanding & perspective. Some detractors also have some point that deserve some consideration, anyway.

                The bottom line in discussions like these is that, we express our ideas fairly & logically, w/o being too biased or prejudiced.

                Lets be reasonable.

                  I agree with you both guys, everyone has the right to dream, we always dream about the gold, and unfortunately, we finish 2nd or 4th, and you Filippinos dream about the first four, but unfortunately, you end up on the quarter final roster.
                  but it's good to see Lebanese and fillipinos fans here, they made IBN more active
                  btw, I joined the IBN in august, but I follow IBN posts 2 years ago

                    Yes man, unfortunately without the experienced players, we downgraded our predictions, and here in Lebanon, everyone say that ending up at the semis is very good achievement.

                      since its just a prediction..we should all treat it as it is predictions....besides..most of the predictions ends up china being no 1 so its probably moot and academic..there's only one ticket to london no 2 and 3 will probably end up being clobbered on the wildcard tournament<should they join> and nobody remembers no 4, 5 6 7 and 8 etc..except of course themselves alone ..therefore? why fuss over the rankings
