This whole situation is a travesty. FIBA Asia and FIBA, in my opinion, will be of little help (though I really do hope I am proven wrong).
I truly wish Coach Rafiq that it all works out for you guys to get a fair chance. It's absurd to think that all the personal funds and time preparing to qualify that have been spent by you and your players (none or very little money from the federation) may be wasted. And despite all this nonsense, I get the feeling that every player and staff member is committed to the squad. That bond is something that nobody can break, and for that I commend the Afghan squad and hope for continued improvement!
