Hi everyone,
I know that the championships bring out a lot of emotions, but this is ridiculous. I would appreciate it both sides cool it down right now. Stop posting threads that are provocative and destined to be closed because it's overtly insulting and inciting another country's people.
And if you know it's a thread to fan the flames, don't respond. I encourage users to utilize th report post function. When this is used it sends a thread to the moderator forum, so we all can see the report, discuss it and decide whether the post/thread should be edited/deleted, and if something should happen with the member.
Interbasket is proud that we are quite liberal with our posting policies, but once the typed-out words that make posts and create threads start negatively affecting a large swath of members, then odds are the post either wasn't phrased in a way that generates intelligent discussion or shouldn't have been posted anyways.
I encourage everyone to keep the level of discussion up. There are ways to talk respectfully about FIBA, Asiabasket, Naturalization, race, and even politics without insulting or provoking members of another country. Choose your words wisely; think about what you are saying and how it will be perceived and responded to by others.
Interbasket is here to bring basketball fans together, not to separate them.
Cheers, Stuart
