This is a comment that goes beyond sports and this game.. and it is completely unacceptable.. to be said towards a people whom have paid the price of all the problems in the middle east..
I take it as an insult to the Lebanese people and I was polite by describing your comment as silly...

You Should Thank me for giving importance for you when i reply for your silly posts " Kid "
Yeah you had Luck Today , and you always have luck but tomorrow No Way , Lebanon will lose hardly against China and remember that ....
You have No system at all , only individual moves by Rony Fahed and matt friejie and may b Vroman , except that Lebanon don't play team work at all
You were talking about the lack of System play in lebanon , which may be correct to some extent , yet compared to other teams , lebanon individual play is minimal as for instance , lebanon averaged a 16,4 assist per game while jordan averaged a 9.9 assist per game .
Lebanese prepare for GLORY !!! China , here we come !

Am not talking about politics and i admit that Lebanon suffered so much in the late 40 years in politics ....
But Lebanon did not play as usual , i hope Vogel team ccome back , then Fadi el khatib was a beast and Vogel was a tower with great team work then ......
Good luck tomm. and hope lebanon makes a good game against , if not qualifying but showing the whole world that Luck is not always the title for Lebanon and big hearted lebanese will prove this ...

TIANJIN (FIBA Asia Championship) - Rony Fahed scored nine of his game-high 21 points at the crucial juncture as Lebanon pulled away to a 68-65 win over Korea in the last of the quarterfinals on Friday.
The win which pitted Lebanon against hosts China in the last four, also ensured that the West Asian giants entered the semifinals for the fifth Championship.
While for Lebanon it was setting a new record, for Korea it was breaking one. The 2007 FIBA Asia Championship bronze medalists failed to qualify for the semifinals for the first time in FIBA Asia Championship history.
“It wasn’t easy at all. We always knew it was going to be a one ball game,” said Dragan Raca.
“I’m glad it ended in our favour,” he heaved a sigh of relief.
With such high stakes in place, it was only natural both teams were edgy and error-prone in their offence. Scoring in spurts was sporadic and leads were shaky as both teams fought on even keel in exchanges as well as scoring.
Thus, neither the run 10-0 Lebanon posted – with five points on each side of the first quarter break – nor a similar spree Korea recorded midway through the third quarter gave any decisive edge on the scoreboard to any team.
And when Rony Fahed’s three-point attempt blazed the basket to tie the score at 49 at the end of the third quarter the game reached a new crescendo.
The Sagesse guard scored the six of the next eight points in the game – with Mat Freije success on the paint interspersing – and Lebanon had posted another 10-0 run.
Only this time the 2007 FIBA Asia Championship silver medalists 2007 FIBA Asia Championship silver medalists guarded it with ferocity.
Fahed returned a 3/6 in three-pointers out of a 6/11 field record.
“I’m happy I could help the team to this important win,” Fahed said.
Korea launched a counter-offensive yet again, with Kang Byunghun firing in two back-to-back three-pointers and assisting Kim Joo Sung for another to close in 59-62.
And Yang Donggeun sank another to take it further close to 64-65, but Korea had taken five attempts to get that success leaving them with too little a time.
Freije who went 60% in field attempts (6/10), including a 2/4 in three pointers contributed 14 points for Lebanon. He also pulled down seven rebounds.
Kim Joo Sung was the leading scorer for Korea with 14 points.
Ha Seung-jin pulled down a game-high nine rebounds, but scored only two points.

oh yeah when we won,we are lucky and we loose we are bad!
the shot of kanaan was by luck ? hahaha if he didnt make it then he is a hell of a bad player lol
how many lucky shots korea had ? didnt you notice it ? but it seems some people were just wishing Lebanon to loose.
Anyway bad/average game from our side,Rony was the hero with his usual attempts,he reminds me of the old Rony fahed.
The others were average,Vroman and Freije were absent most of the game, same for Fadi el khatib and eventhough we managed to finish the game winning.
Good luck for 2morrow!Last edited by daniab; 08-14-2009, 04:50 PM.Proud to be Lebanese
