Thats like saying we should let everyone use steroids, if its fair for one countries, and it should be done for every country. See the logic? Not happening.

If he's American or supports America, then that statement to begin with would have never been true.

The way the imports dominate only demonstrate how much the rest of the team (and Asia) that are domestic have to improve. Eventually the level of play of domestic players will decline due to the dependence on imports and what then? Become the next Qatar and have literally a full roster of non-domestic players?

China with Yao Ming always beat those African teams easily(except in 2002 when China suffered from the new blood transition)....

Countries like Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, UAE will be fighting with Hong Kong and Indonesia for 5-9 place.
Lebanon is strong, and is a basketball favor country who can produce domestic good players like Khatib. They can at least challenge for the top 4 without americans..

But Jordan?I seriously think if not for nationalized ones, the likes of PHI is better than them...And damn,it's a county where basketball is not popular .....

BTW:it doesn't make you feel good when you hear the players use English instead of Arabic to communicate on the court....

Fiba made the rules, and by those rules we are playing..if any one is having issues they can freely complain to FIBA, jordan has 1 american player, lebanon has 1 american player. the rest are all locals so stop this nonsense and to this american dude ,didnt russia naturalize Holden?
or didnt germany naturalize kaman ,didnt turkey naturalize ilyasova from azerbaijan? and those are top european countries that dont need this step and they can easily win any game against the top asian teams with 30+ pts minimum including china! as for africa i wont comment cuz i dont care its not my concern i care about asia.OH before i forget Didnt THE ALL MIGHTY USA naturalize hakeem olajuwon??

Yes,the rest are all locals, though many of them doesn't speak local language....

And man...we lost to Spain in OT,lost to Greece by 12,lost to Lituanian by 20...How can you say the likes of Turkey can easily beat China with 30+ minimum?(Yao-less China maybe?)

From what I see you don't follow basketball closely and I think you should think carefully before writing such things.

Naturalization is a good thing for Asian basketball. This is basketball not politics and basketball needs good players. As long as a player only plays for one team, I am all for it. Every country can naturalize one player per FIBA rule so what is the problem? I understand that many country don't want to do it and that's fine too; there is no point in bringing this up every time. I much rather want to see Vroman and Freije giving China a good fight than 88-point blowouts

As far as nationalities go, not all nations have the same laws and standards. Even as far as China goes, in the 1950s and 1960s, almost all players in the People's Republic of China basketball team are ethnic Chinese people from Philippines or Indonesia. So please understand each other. Lebanon has had a turbulent history in recent decades and understandably many Lebanese are born outside of Lebanon. Philippines and Jordan have many people leaving their countries and immigrate to America. Qatar is a tiny country with big resources so even their demographics have a lot of immigrants and foreign workers, so what is the problem of having some players who originated from Sudan but live their lives out in Qatar?

No...I don't fear your team at all...As I said before, you can win at most 1 or 2 games out of 10 against this Yao-less China..

As you say english is the second offcial language. Then maybe this question is more accuracy:Can all the locals speak Arabic?

China always get beaten by the top teams of world easily by 30 margin(greece,usa,lituanian,etc...)
But against europe 2-tier teams China can always have a fight with them(Italy,Slovenia in 2006,German in 2008)..

BTW:China used to lose to the likes of Yugoslav by 60+..But that's more than 10 years ago...

And you follow basketball so well that you even don't know China quit from the U18 ABC in 2008...

Even Yao-less China can beat you easily.(don't judge from the score..it can be seen from the game the gap between Yao-less China and Jordan is about 10 points)

China with Yao can easily crush you by 20+ margin, and you are not far from us.
