"They Should Have Been Here" Thread (2009 Asian Championships)
Regarding Syria, can anyone conclude that the wildcard berth given to Taipei is justified now? They lost to Iran and the Philippines by close margins and are on their way to the quarters most probably, would Syria have done the same or better?
Would have done the same. But not by close margin to Iran. against RP maybe it would be close.
Hey bro.
Ahmad is just 17,he was in US training with Patterson High school and some AAU tournaments.
He is now in Lebanon but it was too late to join the team!
thanks bro..it will be exciting to see this player in the future and have great head to head match ups with our future national team which is composed of smart gilas players..good luck to our respective teams bro
While the thread is about who should have been here but I'll state the opposite of it and that's Jordanian Almaaytah. The Jordanians can be disqualified if there will be protest from the other teams since he was suspended last FIBA Asia but is playing now. He already played for German youth National team.
sorry for my ignorance bro but where is he now? what happened to him?

Jamal Abu Shamala ( injuried days before FIBA Asia Championship )
Louai obeidi ( Best prospect for Jordan in the Future " 19 years old " )
Nasser Bassam ( almost retired , hes the best 3pt shooter ever in Jordan with really great penetrations )
Mahmoud Bassam ( left basketball due to Heart problems , 217 cm with really huge body , hes almost Hamed haddadi Jordan ;D )
Ibrahim Bassam ( Mahmoud's Bro , 208 cm with great Body , 21 years old )
Nedal shareef ( problems since Doha Games 2006 with Coach Mario Palma )
has nasser bassam left basketball???man i miss his gameplay alot.btw how old is he now? talking about ibrahim bassam how is he??why wasnt he invited?no matter how he plays i think he would still be better than maaytah jamal!

i think better bro..they almost beat korea the east asian champions..and if they beat japan in the game later that would really justify their wildcard entry to the fiba asia qualifier..just my opinion though
