Coaches Toroman whose resume says it all or Chot Reyes for continuity and better system for Phils. And players Jimmy Alapag and CJ Giles( quicker naturalisation). The presence of these people could have improved our chances in leaps and bounds despite limited preparation.

i think better bro..they almost beat korea the east asian champions..and if they beat japan in the game later that would really justify their wildcard entry to the fiba asia qualifier..just my opinion though
Ten candles stand burning in a dining room. A strong breeze blows
in through an open window and extinguishes two of them. Checking
back in on the candles later, you see that one more candle has gone
out, you shut the window. Assuming the wind doesn't extinguish any
more candles, how many candles do you have left in the end?

Ahmad is just 17,he was in US training with Patterson High school and some AAU tournaments.
He is now in Lebanon but it was too late to join the team!

While the thread is about who should have been here but I'll state the opposite of it and that's Jordanian Almaaytah. The Jordanians can be disqualified if there will be protest from the other teams since he was suspended last FIBA Asia but is playing now. He already played for German youth National team.

Would have done the same. But not by close margin to Iran. against RP maybe it would be close.

Michel Madanly, leading scorer of FIBA-Asia 2007

Btw, he also "scored" a lot during the 2007 Manila Invitationals.
