i hope Sri Lanka wins in their match vs. Indonesia. One team send a team even without a sponsor before the last day and the other sent a team, but not their national team, and deserves to be embarrassed.

i remember a same situation in the SEA Games when the Philippines sent a rag-tag selection and got beat for the first time in many, many years.

Maybe after finishing last the Indonesian federation will realize they need to send their best so as not to have a shameful finish.

IND/INA – India assured of bettering last edition finish
TIANJIN (FIBA Asia Championship) - Having missed the qualification to eight-final by a whisker, India proved more than a handful for Indonesia winning Monday’s 13-16 classification game by a whopping 91-52.

India who finished 15th in the 2007 FIBA Asia Championship at Tokushima are thus assured of bettering that finish when they face Uzbekistan in the 13th place play-off on the morrow.

Indonesia play Sri Lanka, with the losers taking the wooden spoon.

Jagdeep Singh was the leader of the Indian cause with 18 points and Vishesh Bhriguvanshi contributed 17 points.

Vineeth Revi Mathew shot an incredible 86% (6/7) in the field for his 14 points.

Kelly Purwanto, Ary Chandra and Nyoman Indrawan scored 10 points each for Indonesia.
