this is bullshit talk ....

the reason Lebanon had a lower scoring margin was due to the strong chinese defense.

we can exclude around 4 - 5 baskets that went out due to bad luck, the rest has to be credited for tough c hinese defense.

also we have never seen china playing this bad since years ..... this is also due to the tough lebanese defense.

Lebanon and china before that game had the highest scoring margins in the championship.

for both of them to clash and end up with such a low score, means it was one hell of a defensive game.

statistics show it all.

and YES China can be beaten by any of the great 4 teams (Jordan, Lebanon, Iran, KoreA) ...... but any of these 4 can also be crushed by china ina minute ....


the chinese offense is outstanding ... if you do 2 consecutive mistakes against them, they can add 10 points to their score in less than 1 minute.

Chinese media is very crucial, especially that china is playing in their homeland ... Chinese media had been giving a close look at Lebanon since the start ... and comparing games between lebanon and other teams, vs. china and same teams lebanon played with.

the chinese bench didn't look good ... each time the score gap widens for china and the coach puts in some bench players ... the opponent starts to advance in score.

even UAE damn it, they narowwed the gap from 17 pts to 5 pts against china ...

Lebanon's bench is much better than Chinese ... when the bench players go down to court, the NT's level is still the same, and the score keeps g oing up and up ... we've seen that against UAE / Indonsia and Kazakhstan today.

So ... to sum this up ... Lebanon has the best team, but they lack the consistancy.

China has a powerful offense and defense, and they are consistent, but they have problems with the bench players.

I believe it's a 50/50 chance if we meet next time ... these are the points i wanted to mention. Let's watch Jordan vs. China and see what the second WABA NT has to do.

I guess losing by 3 is a win in the Lebanese fans eyes. By the looks of these posts, you would of thought it was a Lebanese upset. To the guy who said the LEbanese should of concentrated more then they could of won, I'm pretty sure if the Chinese players would of concentrated more, they could of blown you guys away.

HAHAH I just want to give u some facts about this game :
china have a 54% in this tournament, in this game they had 57% which means that they were giving their best, how can they concentrate more than that ( our defence was so good and didn't give them alot of opportunities to shoot ).....
Lebanon have 51% in this tournament, in this game against china they had ONLY 37%, if they have concentrated more and have about just 40 % we would have won this game....
THIS IS A BIG Evidence that we were NOT luckyin this match and we loat just by 3 points from CHINA which is ranked 9 in the world ....Don't forget that china were playing on their own court ALSO

What ever,the most difficlut game in this tournament for China I think has passed...

Jordan and Iran are also good,but Lebanon is somewhat special.

For example,If Jordan's ability is 55-65(average:60)
then Lebanon's ability is 40-80(averge:60)

On bad nights they played like shit(against Joran and Qatat)
But they can also be great on good nights.

My personal wish is to have Lebanon meet the Philippines in the final just for the sake of the great fans these 2 countries have in this forum and let the best win then.

For this game: Vroman is back, Freije showed his class, special mention to AbdelNour efforts and the ice nerves of Roni Fahed for his 3pts shots in the 4th quarter.. As for the "tiger" Fadi El Khatib, unfortunately he retrograded to a "cat" !!! and Lebanon proved my theory that they are the only team capable of matching up with the Chinese...

Finally and after such games, basketball fans are the winners..... and the winner takes it all !!!

maybe because when you recruited your players, your are thinking of matching up against china..its good really to set your sights on china, however, other teams are not china and sometimes you match up against them badly, like jordan and to some extent qatar..I really would like to see how you would play against Korea where players are constantly moving..very good game though against china..
