44-17 at Halftime
Lousy game - easy win! FIBA should really reconsider its qualifying methods for this tournament. Our local girls school team couldn't play too much worse than Sri Lanka does.
25% 3pointers and 44% frfom the line for Philippines - a lot of need for improvement until they start facing the real teams.
Team Philippines only doing the least nescessary today - can't say if they can't play any better than this or just don't want. Sri Lanka at the other end is not capable of showing anything at all.

35 pts with only 4 minutes left in the 2nd quarter is very poor offense against a team like SL which probably doesnt have 1 player above 190cm ....this score isnt as impressive as many pinoys might think ...korea or japan would be up 50-10 against SL right about now

44-17 halftime. Dont let that high lead fool you. We should have been up by 50 points by now. I'm still seeing the same problems in the JOnes Cup....turnovers galore, fouls galore, and horrible outside shooting. This has got to be one of the most reckless/bumbling blowouts I've ever seen in a game. I didn't see any precision plays, any finesse or sharpness at all. And to think we are the better team. I can't believe their guards are able to beat our defense,,thank God the Sri Lankans don't know how to finish.
Hooo boy hope things shape up tomorrow against Japan, because no way will we beat them if this is the way we play.Originally posted by PeeZonesKai is a top ten lottery pick come draft day and the best team for him is the spurs...Kai is way more skilled OFFENSIVELY than duncan, yao, aldridge, kp. etc..Kai is way better offensively than Porzingis by a mile...Kareem isnt really way far than Kai..decent bball IQ for both MJ and Kobe but Kai belongs to the highly skilled and high IQ players...I see talent clearly and they cant.

We really are playing like crap. It's not a measurement of how good our team is because it's just Sri Lanka but the things that we needed to improve on could get worse as the tourney progresses - 3pt shooting, fouls, rebounding, and free throws. This really doesn't look good, our 3pt shots will be more difficult to convert against the stronger teams when our players start feeling the pressure.

another larong buko game by RPteam. a lot of wasted opportunity
“Hindi ko na inaano ‘yun (mapasama sa pool) eh,” Santos said. “Kung susumahin mo ang buhay naming mga player, ‘san ba talaga ang first priority namin, ‘di ba? Ang first priority ko, dahil dito ko nakuha lahat ng kagandahan ng buhay ko at para sa pamilya ko, ang San Miguel. Alam naman ng lahat ‘yun. Ito ang dapat kong paglingkuran.”
