      • The factor that makes a strong national team is togetherness. The longer a national team plays, the better it becomes. I think the two new recruits simply lacked time to gel with the national team, which is why they couldn't get their game up and running vs. Jordan (though I admire Freije's performance yesterday as he top-scored).

Jordan did the right thing in keeping Mario Palma as their head coach instead of replacing him after a disappointing 5th place finish two years ago. Palma has been around since 2006, I think.

A question for Solo, is Palma gonna stay after the Asian cup?

        • Great game by Jordan yesterday. This shows how 4 months of hard training+preparation have really positively affected their team.

As for us guys, tough luck. I was always worried about the chemistry level on our team and how our guys will be able to play well together against teams with good defense like Iran, Jordan+China.

Vroman played very bad and he took alot of bad decisions. It's not his job to take the ball across the court since we have great point guards who can do so. Coach Dragan should bench any player whenever they play selfish or r not playing according to the set system.

Anyway it's good that we lost now to see where we need to work on to imrpove our weaknesses even though we only have a few easy games left to get acquainted to each other as quickly as possible.

Even the US Dream Team stopped assembling their squads a few weeks before a major tournament since they realized that this is not enough time to build the required team chemistry even though the team is full of NBA superstars.

Wish our team the best of luck and I hope we can qualify to the world championships.

                  • El khatib, Jackson, Freijje, Beshara and Faris all of them want the ball, no teamwork. Maybe we should give each of them a ball( just kidding LOL!!!). As for Jordan team they play good and great teamwork just like a European team..

                    • One thing I noticed about Lebanon's Freije and Vroman are they are pretty good offensive players. However, it's pretty obvious that they have a tough time handling more physical big men. Freije and Vroman are natural power forwards, being forced to play the center position. Also, these two guys are taking too many shots away from El-Khatib, who I think should still be Lebanon's main man. I kinda missed watching Vogel play for this team, he was the perfect fit and he knew what he's doing
