wildcard = teams that didn't qualify but given a chance to participate in the tournament. we don't need a wildcard for FIBA Asia because we're guaranteed a slot from SEABA each time. Malaysia should get a wildcard because they're ranked higher than us.

the threadstarter should change the title wildcard to stankovic cup qualifiers aint no wildcard if really taken serious by asian countries yan tuloy "nasampolan" by fiba asia
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

According to FIBA, after the Philippines won, 14 teams had qualified. Since then, Japan and Korea have qualified, so I guess all 16 have qualified now.

Here is the list from FIBA:
                            Bahrain
                            China
                            India
                            Indonesia
                            Iran
                            Jordan
                            Kazakhstan
                            Kuwait
                            Lebanon
                            Philippines
                            Qatar
                            Sri Lanka
                            United Arab Emirates
                            Uzbekistan
                            Japan (added)
                            Korea (added)

I havent heard anything from Middle Asia, but apparently, Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka qualified. Nothing on FIBA Asia or FIBA about it except this.
