Whatever!... we all support RP Team here but with COMMON SENSE... we don't open our mouth and tell everyone that the RP Team is this and that...

If you want to be the token Filipino forumer in Interbasket... you have to beat Joel23 first... which I doubt you can even beat his unintentional humouric English...

Count me in as one of your so-called "unbelievers".

There is a fine line between healthy support and unhealthy obsession. In your case, I'm afraid you are leaning towards the latter.
      Keep running, big boy.

im in the believer. lets all be honest to ourselves. i'll be a hypocrite if im a filipino lurking around the philippine basketball's international campaigns forums then im rooting for iraq. grab an identity. its either you're a supporter or not at all. lebanese forumers here are with their NTs even though their lost to our lowly national team. win or lose, with alibis or none, they're their NTs supporter. their not expecting israelis to register here and support the lebanese team. you're not going to see one lebanese say "the philippines has beaten us a number of times. im going to be realistic and i'll start rooting for philippines." no. you wont see that. its their national pride. win or lose, that team that lost the chance to go to the olympics are their lebanese nt. it is their basketball treasure no matter what. it is only the filipinos where you can find these separatists attitude. i did not see any spaniard saying that they are just being realistic that the americans are really good in basketball and then they'll go to other sports like what people are suggesting. basketball is their sport as well. they are believers of their team. they are faithful that one day they can get one from the americans. its either you're with the team supporting and defending it anywhere or you can just go to a chess forum and be realistic with wesley so. this is us. we're here to support or if you want to call it you can call me a fan - delussional or not. still, a fan is a fan and wont make a difference at all.

Whoever said that I, or any other Filipinos in this forum, am going to root for the Chinese NT just because they've been handing our @sses to us since 1992? We are just being realistic here. I have belief in the team, but I am not blind to their weaknesses. Sure, I can be as fanatical as the kanto boys in our village when it comes to NT, and I sure could heckle foreign players out of the court if and when they play at Araneta. I applauded when the crowds jumped from General Admission to Upper A when we played Iran's SABA Battery in 2005. I lost all urge to work when we lost against Jordan in 2007.

At the end of the day, though, we have to acknowledge that right now, our NT is nowhere near the top of the Asian pecking order. A team is only as good as its last tournament. Common sense tells us that you cannot brag about something that you don't have, or have not proven yet. For now, I'd rather have our NT pencilled in as underdogs then hope they spring a surprise on the opposition when FIBA-Asia comes around. It's much better than bragging all you want then ending up with nothing to show for it.
                    Keep running, big boy.

You better count up to 100 or more, then. People like you are the minority in this forum.

2008 NT missed Bang SungYoon, Lee GyuSup, Kim SeungHyun.. and Ha Seung Jin was in the roster, but couldn't play cuz injury.

2007 NT missed Bang SungYoon, Lee GyuSup..

2006 NT cuz injury Bang SungYoon could play only 2 game..

We couldn't see Kim Dong-Woo (198-F-80), Yang Dong-Gun (183-G-81) cuz their army service,
and Seo Jang Hoon(he is still No.1 scorer in KBL) doesn't join NT, cuz problem with KBA.

KIM JinSoo didn't join NT after his born-father become NT coach..

※ tony akins and eric sandrin didn't recieved korean passport yet. we expect eric sandrin will recieve korean passport june.

i do not need to sir jonar.
i only count non-believers that are vocal to their scheme...(to pull down its own team and country)...like you and rest of the opposers here....

so if you plan to count 1-100....then i think its is you who should do the petition for it..... call your friends & pals here in this forum & try talk-bashing me like sir Armor (calling everyone to put believers down...)...

I may fall once, twice but me & the rest of the believers here will stand up thrice...! for FLAG & Country...

                          GO TEAM PILIPINAS!.. AIM HIGH!....

                            if that is the case...
then why are you so mad about a simple post/opinion which is TEAM PILIPINAS is a team to reckon with this coming tourney???
you know what i analyzed here, is that other nation is switching their attention in this forum because they are laughing that even fellow filipinos are not keen to their NAtional TEam....they are anticipation heated debates and name calling (like s'Armor) to surface in this conversation...
how come only you & armor is the one affected here... are you a true filipino?

                            just to quote:
"my mom used to say blood is thicker than water... look over your brothers and sisters...pay attention & do whatever it takes for their well being.....
but now, i im beggining to think......."

as Ronaldo Lapuz sez...."I am your brother your best friend forever"...

no im not and i believe they're not intimidating anyone. its just who they are. they're just playing it safe. but believe me, they'll be the first to let the ibn forums know how proud they are like they did when we were winning games against those teams that are and still being considered "better than us".
