Wang Zhizhi 、Mengke Bateer and LI Nan will retire the NT in 09.Yao shouldn't join in asia level games. But you could see Zhang zhaoxu ,JI Xiang, Shang Ping 、Su Wei and so on.

Iran was the class of the championships. only 1 loss, though big, but they won when it mattered.

congratulations to iran. their boys became men in this tournament. it will become even harder to beat them in the next championships because of the confidence that they gained here.

congratulations to lebanon. they proved their maturity and steadiness here. although, in my opinion, they lack depth in the scoring department. they rely heavily on 2 players, khatib and vogel, for scoring.

to all the teams, including my beloved RP, the race for 2010 world basketball championships has begun.

i started to hate lebanon when karim here is posting arrogant statements about their team.... HAHAHA

    nice work Iran!!!
i guess, the loss will surely make them humble once again.. but lebanon is really a world-class team. they just rely on elkhatib and vogel too much..

    anyway, asian basketball is unpredictable...

It's too far but very great year for Indonesia but still basketball level of Malaysia and India. Not Taiwan and Qatar

Congratulations to Iran for winning the Asian Championship for 2007 and qualifying for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Congratulations also to Lebanon for reaching the finals. Asian basketball is becoming more and more unpredictable.
