also the 49ers are not a strong stable team in div 1 ncaa play. so what they made the big dance last tourney. didnt fullerton take out the phil nt squad? 49ers are nto a strong enoguh squad with a history to say "look we beat them we are good" no if u put duke, unc, texas, indiana, syracuse(who plays more intl style of play) then yeah i would have something to cheer on and say yesu make a valid point. just for the lvoe of god and past century worshipping to my fellow ancesters on this board stop saying whose dick is bigger thru past accomplishments...dwell on the present and worry about the future of what we can do and how we can prepare to be competitive in a globalizing sport

only in dreams... its too early to tell... rp team hasn't even reach its peak yet while lebanon is still not preparing for the abc... it will boil down on which team is more prepared and focused... to finish this... rp will really have a hard time against fadi el khatib, i mean lebanon hehe... the same as lebanon will have a hard time with our team, well that is if ever they will face one another... right now im worried on the other countries especially south korea...

The Philippines has obtained the world third good result, but that only was appears briefly!! Even the very many Asian fans all did not know at all, also does not acknowledge!! But our China NT enters eight strong topics repeatedly at the Olympic Games and the international championship then often loves to talk about by the Asian fan discussion!! This is two team's biggest difference!! Does not have the inside story team is impossible to dominate for a long time Asian Basketball world!! Moreover also asks you Philippine not to have always to say our China NT dominates Asia is for a long time because they repeatedly have not sent out the strongest PBA player to participate(that is biggest fun!!!)!! But in 1998 the Asian Games we the Chinese men's basketball team has won at the semi-final by A lvin Patrimonio, Allan Caidic, Johnny the Abarrientos leading signer Philippines team of 8 minutes hundred year dream!!

You more emphasized the past the glory more showed your reality the helpless! As far as I know the Philippine basketball besides the dirty petty action on only then the pitiful speed, and You only can depend upon the hybrid member, does not have the height, does not have the technology…We may dominate at least Asia, later we also will be the world crack force, but you forever only could live in the past recollection! ~ I sympathize with you

You such match simply is not worth respecting!!!Because you have not respected the match the tutelage

Last to you:I am thinking what should i say when CHINA b team beat you...and what will you say ...hahaha!!!!you 'll never win!You do not match make our Rival!!!Asian two-three class team
im sorry but i hardly understand your message... but did u say it right? we only depend upon the hybrid member, does not have the height, does not have the technology? c'mon... how come our homegrown player mark caguioa always led the team in scoring the same goes to renren ritualo who got the attention of the new jersey nets and the philadelphia 76ers because of his deadly 3pts? does not have height? yes but most of our players are multidimensional... does not have technology? c'mon... the budget alone which was allocated for the training of rp team is more than 1 million dollars... i tell u rp team will have a good showing... we are a darkhorse in this tournament... what u think about rp is really wrong... the entry of rp will give another contender in asia...

Man, how about for the record: the PBA All-Stars back in 2000 beat the Asian All Stars composed of Fadi El-Khatib, Eli Mechantaf, Gong Xiao Bin, Zhu Dong, Rommel Adducul, Cheng Chih Lung, etc. at the score of 101-81. Asi Taulava was not yet even in the PBA All-Star line up then. Fadi El Khatib and Rommel Adducul really had their hard moments attacking the basket with Marlou Aquino on the center.

PBA's Eric Menk and Asian All-Stars' Elie Mechantaf both bagged the Sportsmanship Awards. Johnny A. was the game's MVP.

Yes let's all segregate now those with fil bloodline living somewhere else from the pure blooded ones living back home. we might as well segregate the pure fils from the mestizos and the chinoys in the homeland. while we're @ it might as well ban chinese schools and go on an ethnic cleansing like Indonesia did back in the late 90s against the chinese-indonesians because they didnt get the point of pure indons and they're views of indons first in their homeland. if you havent gotten enough of my sarcasm please let me know, i'll add more.

You still didn't get it do you???

i am not living in the past achievements of our NT. The point is, i am just showing to these guys that if we were able to make it to the top before, we can make it happen again. I am not saying that we are the best team in asia right now... not yet... may be after this asian championship.

i know what's happening in the arab basketball because im staying in this oil reach land for two years now... and watching their brand of basketball and ours allow me to compare and give assesment on which team could perform well in the upcoming asian chamionship. In this part of the world - arab region... basketball is still way too long to go before it could level the kind of love and the brand of game we are playing in the philippines...

the sudden rise of lebanon and qatar in international basketball is cannot be credited fully to the development of sports in their respective countries... it's because of the naturalized players.

I am just wondering what if the FIBA didn't imposed a ban on us... and we were able to play in international competitions with our Class A players? What would it be??? would there be lebanon and qatar in the WBC???

It's a two year ban... a lot of things could have happened if we were allowed to play...

it's like saying that the Boston Celtics is still the best franchise in the NBA because it has won more titles than anyone else. but right now, who cares?

we reminisce the past. however, we are living in the present and that's what counts NOW.

so the best thing to do is stop bragging about the past, enjoy the ride, and wait til the final buzzer sounds.

if we win, then hooray. if not, then we'll just take the lessons we've learned and move on. it's as simple as that.

Achievements are something to be proud of.... it's not about bragging... they call it bragging because they dont have something to be called achievements in International basketball especially in world basketball...

Whi says not we are the best team in asia today??? i didn't say we are the best team in asia today... what i am saying is not there is a big chance we can beat those teams who are considered as strong and competitive...

As i am always saying here... the team that should be watch in international competitions are still China and South Korea... we can find way to beat Lebanon and Qatar... we have proven that so many times already..

and to say that they have improved a lot... did we not improved a lot too??? as for man to man and skill to skill, we are a lot better than the rest of the asian squad...

but as i was saying, basketball is a team competition... we cannot win by simply sending the best pro players in the competition... that's why we PBA commissioner took care of the assignement in representing the country in international competition by lending the PBA players and restructuring the PBA calendar to aligh with the International schedules of tournament...

we are playing against teams that are already playing for so long together as a team... while we are assembling our team only months or so before the competition...

I hope you get my point... past is past but this is something for us to look forward to... that sometime in history we were once the superpower in basketball... that means we were able to pulled it before that means we can make it happen again...

and i know the road to this dream is not a walk in the park... that's why ourteam is preparing very hard for this upcoming asia championship...

to say that we can beat lebanon, qatar and s.korea easily is logically much much easier than beating the red dragon, CHINA.

We almost had a chance the first time we sent our PBA players in China. and slmost in Korea... we fell short... because of lack of preparations but not of quality players...

In fact we have too many quality players... that we can even form another TEAM A.
