Jones Cup Men's Tournament: August 9 - 17, 2014
Jones Cup Women's Tournament: August 20 - 24, 2014

Player pool will be announced in late May but it is similar to the 2013 player pool as expected according to Hsu Chin-Tse where he believes keeping the core together and adding some young talents like Liu Zheng, Zhou Bo-Hsun and Chung Hsiu-Nai will be essential. Players like Lin Chih-Chieh are still recovering from injuries.

Chinese Taipei national team will participate in the FIBA Asia Cup with Quincy Davis but come Asian Games, no Quincy Davis according to what was reported. CTBA is trying to bring over Joe Alexander and TJ Burke of Vanguard University to help the team last I heard.

Joe Alexander's agent arrived in Taiwan late last night and will meet the CTBA officials today.

CTBA confirmed that Quincy Davis was cleared by the Olympic Committee of Asia to play in the Asian Games. Good thing that Davis applied for a Residential VISA way back in 2011.

It seems that Taiwan will send a team B + Quincy Davis to the FIBA Asia Cup. Otis Hughley will call the shots while Davis could play sparingly and go full blast in Jones Cup.

Lin Chi-Chieh is due for another meniscus repair surgery next week and will miss much of training prior to the Jones Cup. Lin said that he would like to play in the Asian Games.

CTBA was working on his papers as a local player but did not prioritize it when Quincy Davis was cleared. CTBA wants Alexander instead for next year's FIBA Asia.

So far impressed by the work ethic of this team.. The no. 11 guy should be a keeper even for the senior team.. because he can be a good two way player much different to the typical 1 dimensional wings this team have..
