Japan and China will both send "B" teams to Asian Games and "A" teams to the concurrent World Championships. South Korea is probably the only country in the world that cares THAT much about the Asian Games (e.g. Korean men are exempt from conscription requirements if they win gold in AG, but not when they win any world championship not named Olympics, like World Cup.) Come to think of it, maybe North Korea too, their basketball players only show up during the AG for as long as I could remember.

How true, Korea for the matter places more importance with the Asian Games historically over other international competitions. Korea is planning to send a Team B for the FIBA World Cup.

Moving over, is it true that Chen Nan has retired from the national team?

          Head coach: Masato Ogasawara

Oldest is Suwa at 28 years of age. JX Eneos has five players in this one but they are considered role players but will help nonetheless. Aishin's Evelyn Mawuri is a very good prospect. Head coach Masato Ogasawara entertained questions from the press and when asked why Mawuri is not on the Team A bound for FIBA World Cup, Ogasawara just said that her time will come and much like her younger sister who will play for the U18 women's national team.

i really don`t understand the Date of this Asian Games. This Games taking place within the FIBA World Champs, as well as within the FIVB Volleyball World Championchips.

What happened in the heads of the organisers, to choose this "stupid" Period, althought they have had a lot of time to postponed the Games 2 weeks later

Today, the KBA admitted that Amber Harris will not be able to join the national team in the Asian Games. Citing the three year residential rule for naturalized citizens pointed out by the Olympic Council of Asia. Still, Harris will be naturalized for next year's FIBA Asia women's tournament for the chance to play in the Rio Olympics.

                        Yes.

Choi Yoon-Ah's persistent knee problems can no longer continue so Lee Yeong-Eun was called in. Lee was a member of the 2010 world championship. So the Korean team is currently:

                          Lee Mi Sun
                          Park Hye-Jin
                          Lee Yeong-Eun
                          Byeon Yeon-Ha
                          Im Young-Hee
                          Kim Danbi
                          Kim Jung-Eun
                          Kwak Joo-Young
                          Shin Jeong-Ja
                          Yang Ji-Hee

Kim Dan-Bi's popularity is soaring and she hasn't even reached her prime years.
After successful outings at the Incheon Asiad, some of the athletes are expected to enjoy immense popularity and follow in the footstep of sports stars such as figure skating champion Kim Yu-na and swimming gold medalist Park Tae-hwan by appearing in TV commercials and other advertisements.
