Too bad the only game I saw in full was that draw vs Myanmar. I'm used to seeing Premiere League style direct balls, counterpressing, and players with so much pace... then seeing your own national team play a Spanish style that values possesion even though they played like 600 back passes in that draw was really difficult to watch. It's a system that sort of takes away our Fil-Fors' natural advantages in size, but then the ASEAN teams are getting their part-foreigners and naturalized players too... so we really won't have an advantage if the guys aren't quick to pass and move with the ball which they were shockingly good at.

When it comes to marketable players, this sport has potential.
And we just got into the FIFA Women's World Cup, and we won a game there. That's really the time to capitalize for the women's football league.

Jeff Cheng has just stepped down as the Malditas' manager.

Jefferson Cheng, one of the most successful benefactors in the history of Philippine sports, has decided to step down from his role as the team manager of the Philippine Women’s National Football Team. Cheng, a graduate of Xavier School and University of the Philippines, announced this Sunday that he was leaving due to conflicts with […]

Now, that sucks. He's done very well for our women's NT.

Our men's football team are out of World Cup contention. Man. We took the lead. Should have parked the bus all the way.

Last Sunday, our U17 girls got eliminated by drawing with SoKor. SoKor player made a takedown on our player, which freed up the SoKor goalscorer for the equalizer.

Yes, we were leading at the time.

We're down 1-0. Well, difference in quality. Good defensive strategy with the low blocks. I see Torcaso has adjusted.
