The rebound department was crucial, PJ Ramos and Balkman each had 9 each (which isn't much) but Ricky Sanchez had 1 rebound and Nathan Peavy had 3 (which isn't much help). Filiberto Rivera and JJ Barea had 9 points each while playing 28 and 34 mins respectively. On the other hand David Huertas played only 15 mins and had 6 points and 3 rebounds (which is decent for so little time). Also, no one was making the 3 point shots but James Life (which is a long range specialist) only got 1 min of playing time. I think Manolo Cintron did not coach a good game.

FAILURE!
Anything less than winning the gold undefeated in centrobasket is a failure.
Congrats to trinidad.
Failure for the admninistration and confirmation of failure from the coach.
Lets see what is the excuse from Manolo. I wish someone with vision fired manolo before the cycle, now they cant get rid of him.
They are gonna wait until we underperform on the WC to fire him. By then it will be too late. We have a good team for WC, we should not let him ruin it.
This is like Joe Santiago coaching Cotto, wish people would learn from others mistakes.
FEDERATION what's up. Losing against mexico, uruguay and now trinidad tobago. Manolo needs help and he needs it now. He needs to go home.
He has not had a steady job in BSN for a couple of years do to his incompetence, the team owners know it but the federation does not??
I dont think manolo makes it past the WC... by then it will be too late!!!!!!!!
Wake up federation, beltran and diaz.

Ooops! Puerto Rico got too cocky for its own good.

Yeah, the new PR jersey looks pretty fresh. I like Nike designs better than most. But I still prefer the older PR jersey...What's not to like about the PR national flag emblazened on that puppy? One thing that hasn't changed is the cursive script "Puerto Rico". They've been using that since what, 1990?Last edited by Federoy; 07-06-2010, 07:31 PM.

PUR - Puerto Rican national team taking shape:
6/22/2010
GUAYNABO - The Puerto Rican national team has a busy schedule ahead and with that in mind the stars are showing up early for practice. The last ones to show up were Nathan Peavy, Angel Daniel Vasallo and David Huertas.
The trio of forwards joins NBA guards Carlos Arroyo and Jose Juan Barea, who will be key in the events this summer, especially the Centrobasket Championship and FIBA World Championship.
Other players practicing are Filiberto Rivera, Ricky Sanchez, Miguel Ali Berdiel, Manuel Narvaez and Luis Villafañe who had a good season in BSN. Joel Jones Camacho will join this week and center Peter John Ramos asked for a couple of weeks off after a hard season in China and Puerto Rico.
Another NBA player, Renaldo Balkman, will join the team later this month and will add strength in the paint.
Larry Ayuso, Daniel Santiago, Guillermo Diaz, David Cortes, Angelo Reyes, Christian Dalmau, Carmelo Lee and Javier Mojica are currently playing in the BSN finals and might not be available until early July.
The first tournament will be the 2010 Centrobasket Championship to be played from July 5-11 and most of the players in the BSN finals might not make it. Then is the Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico from July 24-31 and then the FIBA World Championship from August 28 until September 12 in Turkey.
Despite the conflict with the BSN finals and the Centrobasket Tournament, all the players will have almost two months to prepare for the FIBA World Championship where the Puerto Rican team comes with a Silver medal from the 2009 FIBA-Americas Championship and with a deep talent pool in all positions for the first time in many years.
