    2008 FIBA-Americas U18 Women's Championship

    Starts Wednesday in Buenos Aires...participants are Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Four of the six teams will qualify for the world championships.

    USA has to be considered heavy favorites as they have won the last two U19 world championships pretty easily...the young women's basketball players in the US these days are unbelievably good.

        The US wins the tournament with an average margin of victory of 51.6 points...Canada, Brazil, and Argentina also qualify for the U19 WC next year in Thailand.

        So if the US draws Thailand in the WC, what is the point spread? 100?
