Najera is a very reliable player. I think he´d do better on another team, because NJ is full of big players. Anyhow, I´m sure he´ll continue a reasonable amount of production.

Free-agent forward Eduardo Najera will sign a four-year, $12 million contract with the New Jersey Nets, a league source with knowledge of the negotiations said.

Najera’s agreement comes one day after the Nets reached agreement with free-agent swingman Jarvis Hayes on a two-year, $4 million deal.

Najera and Hayes are both represented by Dan Fegan, who has a strong relationship with Nets GM Kiki Vandeweghe. They got together on several players, including Kenyon Martin and Nene, when Vandeweghe helped run the Denver Nuggets. Fegan also represents new Net Yi Jianlian.

Najera, who turned 32 on Friday, is an eight-year veteran who spent the past 3½ seasons in Denver. The physical forward also developed into a three-point threat last season, making 36.1 percent of his attempts.

As the Nets begin rebuilding with a core of young players, Najera and Hayes should help strengthen the team’s bench....

The native of Chihuahua, Eduardo Najera, is having his worst NBA season. He has been absolutely plagued with injuries. He is averaging close to 3 points and 3 rebounds per game this year in 10 minutes per game, whereas he is normally a good defender at both forward positions who gives great energy and hustle to his teams. He's just had some awful luck this year. Hopefully after his hernia surgery, he will be able to get back to the court.

Right now, New Jersey is about a game out of the play-offs. They probably won't be able to get past Chicago or Milwaukee.

...Eduardo Najera's season is officially over: The team announced Monday that he will undergo surgery sometime this week to repair a sports hernia, which has a normal recovery time of six to 10 weeks. The veteran forward played in only 27 games this year.

"He's been snake-bit from the start," Frank said. "It's just been one injury over another. It's a shame. You just feel bad for him that it's one of those years." ...

Najera was traded to Dallas earlier this year. He's seeing an increase in playing time and is having something of a Renaissance since leaving New Jersey. He's having his worst statistical year, but still proving that he can play.

He's battled injuries the past few years but appears to have "turned the corner" during this second stint in Dallas. He's an old veteran big man making contributions. That's all he can ask for.

Was traded to the Charlotte Bobcats. Eduardo Najera can provide them toughness on the front-court, from what they lack last year.

Great! He played three minutes in a pre-season game yesterday and grabbed a rebound.

A lot of people have him as the back-up PF behind Boris Diaw. Larry Brown loves veterans, so he'll give Najera some minutes this season.

Eduardo is now logging in minutes again and scored 11 points (season high) in a win over Minnesota.
Still, I see him in the LNBP or Europe next year, as his NBA-career is coming to an end somehow.

Yes, it looks like his NBA career is near the end. His knee just hasn't held up. I don't know if he'll end up in another league or not. I actually thought he was going to play for the OKC Thunder this year. He is a real University of Oklahoma legend, so it seemed like a good fit. I guess they offered him a contract, too.
