Argentina and USA (same group) defined their prelim rosters.

Next week 19 Argentinian boys will start their preparation, with 11 members of the team that participated to the recent U16 Turkey International tournament.

USA Basketball announced a roster of 23 that will take part to Colorado Springs trials by the end of May. 2015-class players are 11 and the rest is 2016.

Just looking at the ESPN updated rankings, top 4 sophs fill the US cadet team candidates roster:

Next, some more news from MaxPreps site:
MaxPreps News - After dominating runs in Argentina in 2009 and Mexico in 2011, next wave of American basketball talent ready to emerge in Uruguay.

Provided that Brazil didn't qualify, Argentina, Canada and USA are favorite to earn 3 of the 4 spots for the 2014 U17 World championship. Group B Chile, Puerto Rico and Uruguay to fight for the remaining place.

        Argentina NT roster finalized.

Quite similar (9/12) to the team that competed at the Türk Telekom early in Febr, with some more height added.

Yes, its almost the same team but with two key additions: Ayan Carvalho (SG) probably the best player on this team, and Ignacio Onetto, who will bring size to the team. He is 2.05 mts (6'9" i guess?) without shoes.

List of 23 participants for the Cadet NT tryouts announced by Canada Basketball.

Best known are 6-7 SF Justin Jackson and 6-3 G Jamal Murray, who played in the White team at this year's Jordan Brand Classic International game. Jackson is ranked #7 overall in the 2016-class by Prospect Central.

A list of 16 finalists has been announced by USA Basketball.

Players will train together and the final cut to 12 will be made before they depart to Uruguay.

Of the 16 finalists, the majority (9) are rising sophomores.

                    Canada team named:

Lacking big size players (just three over 2 m).

Very bad luck for the Argentinian U16 team. Our tallest player Ignacio Onetto (2.05mts without shoes) and Agustin Mas Delfino (one of the best players in the 2012 U15 SouthAmerican Championship) are out of the FIBA Americas U16 due to injuries. Emanuel Fernández Crisol (C 204 mts) and Facundo Arens (1.90mts SG) are their replacements.

Also Ayan Carvalho (struggling with a injury) won´t be at top shape for the tournament.

Could we call this a superteam? I wasn't expecting the top rank players of each position from maxpreps to be assembled, but it's good.

In fact, this team comprises everybody's top players in their class, possibly even more than the 2009 & 2011 U16 teams, but it won't be easy to eclipse these previous teams' results.
Additionally, from various reports it seems that some less heralded players, f.i. Seventh Woods (2016 class), were among the best in the tryouts.

Here some flashing dunks during the trials (please note that some of the best dunkers here are 6-2/6-3 players like Woods and Malik Monk):

As you anticipated, Argentina U16 team had to face true adversity with the injuries of Mas Delfino and Onetto (ACL).

While substitute Facundo Arens already played with the U16 team, the other, Emanuel Fernandez Crisol, is new as he comes from the...U13 team !
Now Argentina is playing in a friendly tournament (Puerto Rico U16 team is also participating) in the final prep to the Fiba Americas.

Actually, I'm the one who wrote that info . I work for the Press area of the Argentinian Basketball Confederation. Argentina defeated Puerto Rico 72-63 yesterday (31-30 at the half). About Fernández Crisol, he is not from the U13 team (I guess something got lost in the translation). Despite he didn't make the 12 man roster (originally), he was trainning with the team, so he gets more experience since the kid has potencial. That's what we call "Jugador 13" = Player number 13. After Onetto got injured, the coach decided to replace him with F. Crisol who was already with them.
