Again, it will be a very competitive tournament, especially this year with those all big Brazilian signings. I just can't find much sense on insisting with this League, when the Americas League has so much more marketing and competitive potential

I cant understand why Brazil still sending its best 3 teams, while it should be the 4th, 5th and 6th just like Argentina does.

It would make much more sense give some gift to those teams, instead of have 3 teams playing 3 big international tournamentes (Americas League, South American League and Interligas).

And we all know already the Top6: Flamengo, Quimsa, Libertad, Universo, Franca and Boca Juniors.

The only team that can upset, IMO, is Defensor/URU.

Boca and Flamenco have the most well-known names. I suppose they are the favorites. But don't count any team out! In this day and age of basketball, any team can win any game.

In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

Some interesting names on these rosters:

            Nick Billings
Out of Kodiak, Alaska, which has a large Filipino population. Has there ever been a bad player from Alaska?

            Rogério Klafke
How old is he now? Wasn't he supposed to be the new Oscar Schmidt at one point?

            Chas Mc Farland
The pride of Lovington, Illinois! I saw him play in high school. A lot of people doubted that he could even play Division I in college so it's nice to see him having a pro career.

            Engels Tenorio, Engels Marx Tenorio
This is a father-son duo. The father is well into his forties. Too bad they're not going up against Stalin Ortiz in this tournament.

Exactly! He is 39 years old. If Im not wrong, he´s the top scorer of the brazilian national leagues (of course, you should consider that Oscar had a long career in Europe).

Now that Boca beat Bigua, I´d be surprised if the second round of the league dont be played only for brazilians and argentines.

Unfortunally I couldn't catch this tournament, but I heard Brasilia's coach is doing an amazing job. Congrats to them.
