Congrats for Egypt! With this Championship, they now have a team that they can build on for the near future to bring back the glory days of Egyptian bball in the 90's when they were the first Arab team to qualify to the World Championships.

Yeah, it really seems like it. I remember some years ago Egypt was an important club in Africa and in the international scene. Let's hope you guys can comeback.

    Group 1:
Egypt, Senegal, and to a lesser extent Mali and Morrocco

    Group 2:
Nigeria, Angola, and to a lesser extent Cote D'Ivoire and Algeria

I'm happy with my predictions so far (The 8 teams that I mentioned all made it to the quarterfinals, and the 4 teams that I said have a better chance all made it to the semis).
    Now comes the hard part.
All 4 teams have played quite well but I still think that Egypt and Nigeria are the favorites for the title (I hope that Egypt is able to win on their turf in front of all their fans)

looks like it is Egypt's title to lose. Hoping that Mali or Senegal comes back and takes it though.

So what did they do? Send a letter to FIBA to complain?
They definitely can't withdraw or threaten to withdraw from the tournament since they are the ones organizing it
